We only had time to drive through, but will definitely be going back to walk and enjoy this quaint historic town. Beautiful large lake and park area.

Very nice taking a stroll along the boardwalk, looking at the lake and all the boats at the marina. Nice and clean with plenty of benches to sit and relax. I enjoyed it very much, it has a good relaxed vibe.

We wandered into this area not expecting to find the mix of old and new.....You have cafes and shops that will be of interest to young and old. We always like to see the older buildings and happy when towns restore areas to make them usable with traffic patterns that allows you to drive slow and feel good walking too.... More

What a gem. We have often passed through Sandford on way to airport but this time we detoured in to the town ,straight of a TV program you, do think antique shops ,cafe, s hair dressers and cobbled streets . A nice place to stroll and step back in time.

Had a drive through the historic area which basically means town centre. Lots of independent little shops, no chain shops or restaurants in sight. Nice paved road to drive on. Lots of parking. Lovely little area with a huge lake and plenty of green spaces .

We stopped into Nifty Thrifty thrift shop and right next door to it the Breezeway for lunch. It was kind of chilly and windy so we didn't walk around much but there were several other thrift shops I would have liked to check out.

We spend lots of time in Sanford. It's a great little town. The downtown has great art galleries, antique and second-hand shops, wonderful restaurants, and great late-night drinking establishments. We love Sanford!

Small town ambience, small town friendly.... GREAT restaurants and bars! You do not have to go to big town Orlando to have a great night out. Love this place!

What a great place to spend an afternoon browsing, eating, drinking, or walking the Riverfront. Their is plenty to do for the artistic crowd (three great galeries, two local theatre companies) the historian (gateway city of Florida at the turn of the Century), the antiquer,
