Downtown Sanford is perfect for a date night or family outing. There are a lot of restaurants down the road to stop at. There is something for everyone. My personal favorite is Hollerbach's Willow Tree Café. They serve German cuisine that is to die for! There are many mom-and-pop shops up and down the main road to browse, including a... More

We loved the lake and the marina. We walked along downtown visiting the different small stores they have.

We walked around checking put the shops, the full gamut with a few blocks from our Hotel. Everyone was really friendly as we walked, lots of hello's and courteousness.

Sanford is an incredibly lovely town situated on the shore or Lake Monroe, which is actually a widening of the St. John's River, happens to be one of the only rivers in the world that flows South to North. You can get all the way to the Atlantic Ocean from here! The Historic District is filled with quirky and quaint... More

Lots to see and do ... quite a few restaurants and unique shops. A very strollable downtown with many benches to take a rest. The nearby walk along the lake is quite scenic, and for families with children, it offers a water fountain place space and playground.

Very nice area working hard to keep that good old fashion charm and creating a destination for a day of shopping & dining!

Went for an Art Festival but found many shops and eateries to explore, it's definately a place to come back to, when time permits!

I grew up in this town, but moved away for many years. It is truly astounding to see how the city has reinvented the downtown area in the last few years. Where once there were old, decaying buildings full of empty offices, there are now cute little antiques stores, a variety of restaurants, two blues bars, several pubs, and art... More

My husband and I went to Sanford, Florida for the first time to enjoy the St. John's River Art Festival...and enjoy we did! It is the best arts festival we have been to in a while. It was well organized and had a huge variety of arts and artisans. Many of the artists were showing how they make their wares... More

There are numerous small antique shops that line the main street in downtown Sanford that are fun to look for treasures. As a long time Florida resident, I have seen many restaurants come and go, but the Willowtree has always been a good choice for lunch. There is plenty of German music on the weekends in the evening and it... More
