Katie's use to be private but Florida has taken it over and really made it nice. Access it from Highway 46 near the Seminole/Lake County line. There's ample parking, restrooms, picnicking areas and a nice beach from which to launch your kayak or canoe right into the pristine, crystal clear waters of the Wekiva with very little portage. More

Since the previous review was quite old. I will provide an update. There is plenty of parking with a $3 honor fee payment. There are no rentals available. There is a soda machine and small (one at a time) rest rooms. The location a bit down the river where they rented boats is now closed. A good plan is to... More

Now it's a state-run, "park," with a gate. Canoe launch, no motorboats, closes at dusk, and all free. Very quiet and peaceful so don't expect a lot. There is a map near the water's entrance so you know where you are on the Wekiva. Not many spots to park but on a Saturday, in August, only 3 other cars out... More
