A really great day

An amazing location to submerge yourself in natural spring waters, canoe down the river and spot wild gators. Bring a picnic or bbq and have an amazing day!

Our nephew had his son's birthday party at the Wekiva River State Preserve. Lovely setting, playground for children and grills and picnic tables available. Restrooms close by as well.

My husband was in a canoe race there so I went along. The Wekiva River was big and beautiful. There were big trees, fish were jumping and a variety of birds flying around. It was a day before Mother's Day but it was not crowded. The park was clean . There were picnic tables and grills. Big trees abound. There... More

Had a brief stop here and saw how lovely it all was. Crystal clear water and wildlife to be spotted. Boats looked too much like hard work so just had a wander about. Perfect for all ages.

Clean water, plenty of wild life, canoe, kayak or paddle board are great activities in this environment.

I visited this park on an afternoon trip from Orlando. There is a park sign and small parking lot just off of state highway 46. An information board and brochure box show the trails available. There are two short loop trails through the woods which I have walked before and are very nice. Other much longer trails are available that... More

We went kayaking here and were stunned by the beauty on this river. You start at the springs, which appear to be a popular local swimming area. The water is crystal clear. Once you get away from that craziness, the kayaking is serene and picturesque. The river does get busy with kayakers, canoes, and SUPs, and you sometimes have to... More

I don't know what that is a picture of, but it certainly isn't what I saw. That pic looks more coastal. Payment is an honour system for $3. There is a very small parking lot right off the highway. You can't take car in, so not sure what others are talking about. I am thinking that most of theses reviews... More

What a pretty and unexpected little adventure. The park costs ($6.00/car) to get in, but is worth it. You can swim in the Springs, although it was way too cold for me! You can also canoe in the lake and river area. There are hiking trails throughout the park as well as camping areas. Family camping is being updated and... More
