We arrived a few minutes before 3pm. The lady told us that at 3 the prices go down. We waited a few minutes and got a discount. We spent two hours walking around and enjoying being outside. The entire zoo including the cages is very clean. The kids loved it!

I visited the zoo with my mother and two year old - we all had a great time. The zoo is immaculately clean with lovely paths and gardens throughout. The animals seemed well cared for in clean enclosures, the keepers we came across seemed to enjoy what they did and demonstrated a genuine love of the animals they were caring... More

Needed something to do while travel delayed in Sanford FL. Went to this wonderful small zoo - we arrived just as it opened on a cold Sunday morning. Friendly zoo staff and an almost private experience watching the keepers go through their morning routines. Amusing to us to watch the staff set up heaters to keep the warmer-climate animals comfortable... More

When we travel we stop and visit many Zoo's. Never have I been this disappointed. In the marketing they list a number of things to be seen ... well they are luck they have an insect house and I think they counted anything flying over or crawling through the day of the count. The most interesting part was the statues... More

Thanks for the review. We value all feedback. Sorry you didn't enjoy the Zoo. The Zoo had elephants for several years, Maude and Mary who resided at the Zoo at the time the entrance gate was built. They have since past on due to age related illnesses. We look upon their likeness now at our front entrance as a remembrance... More

We didn't expect to find a zip line! Hours of fun before we even got to the animals. A really big collection of animals. The snakes are amazing.

Small Zoo in Central Florida, it is small, so it will only take a few hours to walk thru to see the animals. I went because there was an event on the premises, the Sonnys Smokin' Showdown, which was a BBQ cook-off. The zoo does have a treetop adventure course you can do while there, but I chose not to.... My husband and I visited the zoo and found it quite depressing. All the animal enclosures are quite small, with little or no room to exercise. The bald eagles were in an open pen, therefore their wings must be clipped so they cannot fly. One eagle fell off his branch as he attempted to fly, very disturbing. We left early... More

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for your review. We value all feedback. Please know that while our bald eagles are in an open habitat, it is because they have been injured in the wild, and cannot fly, and are living their days in the best care at the Zoo. Bald eagles are protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Act and... More

There are a few exhibits that I really enjoyed. One being the otter and the other was... Well... Really that was it. The splash park was a great spot to let the kids run around. The large cats are confined to small cages in my opinion, it was kind of disturbing. The monkeys did have much space either. Alot of... More

This zoo is super cute! I love the walking paths around the place to view the animals! Its animals seem well cared for. We fed the giraffes. It was $5 for 3 pieces of lettuce. There were wonderful volunteers around to share interesting information. They offer a zip line course that we did not do as they range from 2... More

This is our cute little local zoo! They have a good variety of animals. The insectarium is a lot of fun--the kids love seeing all the bugs. Reptile house has many snakes! Must visit the petting zoo! In the summer play in the splash pad.
