The zoo was just OK. Lacked a lot of animals. No lions or elephants. Someone expensive for what you got. I wish we had gone to the springs instead.

Thank you for the review. We value all feedback. Sorry you didn't enjoy the Zoo. We are a small not for profit, and are supported by admissions and fundraising. Housing large animals like you mentioned require lots of space and funds. Hopefully one day we will be able to support animals like that, but not at this time. Hope you... More

Much improvement since the last time we visited! We love the petting zoo stress, and the gift shop employees were very kind and informative. We loved the new Rhino exhibit and the train is fun. In the future, would love to see an indoor exhibit for the kids like they have at Brevard zoo.

Nice, Beautiful setting, Senior Prices, it was a pretty hot day, so animals were not real active, but this zoo is a nice place to have a family day, pack a picnic, picnic grounds and all kinds of activities. We were there or a couple hours just walking around !

We drove from Orlando over to the zoo as a quick little break for the day from the hustle and bustle of Disney. The zoo is a little small but it was reasonably priced and the kids loved it. My nine year old and one year old niece got to feed the giraffes and they were in love with them.... More

Thanks for driving over to see us. Yes, we are a smaller Zoo away from the big city life, housed in a natural hardwood hammock with nature all around, not concrete. Glad you enjoyed feeding Gage, Rafiki, and Emba. I'm sure they enjoyed the treat too. More

This zoo is a small zoo that is perfect for the little ones. There is a lot of shade so you won't be drenched with the sun beating down on you. They have a splash pad, train ride and Merry-go-round for the enjoyment of the wee ones, for a small extra fee. ( splash pad has no extra fee). Although... More

Thanks for the review, and thanks for noticing our growth. We are currently replacing all our boards on our boardwalk walkway, expanding our rhino habitat, and getting ready to build a bear exhibit. Come back soon and see the results. More

The CFZ in Sanford is a great half day for adults or whole day with children who use the splash park (included in admission). The zoo is not large. That being said, a lot is packed in. They have a very nice collection of medium and small sized cats:cloud leopard, cheetahs, black footed cats, panthers. You can feed a giraffe... More

One of the favorites of my children is the visit to the zoo! The animals are always breath taking to see, & the splash pad is a fantastic way to cool off on these HOT summer days! Feeding the animals with the $1 lunch buddies after 11am is an added bonus for the lower incomed families! We love our affordable... More

It should be named "The Central Florida KID PARK," replete with busloads of small children, a $3 dollar per ride mini-train, a baby zip line, etc. The layout requires all visitors (handicapped or not) to park several hundred yards away and hobble through the play area before entering the zoo. There, they encounter unlabeled mazes of rotting wooden boardwalk paths... More

Great central florida attraction. Love the raised platforms, and enclosures seemed to melt into the background. Was nice seeing the animals in a more natural environment. We went over the July 4th Holiday, and they we're very accommodating. One of the best snake exhibits I've ever seen. The kids loved the splash park. We had a great overall time at... More

Nice little zoo. It was extremely hot the day we went so for the zoo being small was actually a blessing! There were a lot of shaded areas to get away from the heat also. It appeared that they may be adding more exhibits in the future. There was a fun water play area for kids. I wish we would... More

Thanks for visiting the Zoo. Yes, those Florida July days are quite hot. That is one of the reasons we built the Splash Ground. And glad you noticed some development in the works. We're fundraising for a Florida black bear exhibit right now to be added next. Come back and see them... and don't forget your bathing suits. More
