It always amazes me when we go here to play. You know you are down town, but you forget when you are here. you cannot hear the city behind you, and you get lost just looking around while the kids play at the playground. watch the boats come and go, maybe throw in a fishing line. Just relax!

I actually met friends at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club which isn't one of the options listed above. However, Demens Park is a beautiful location.

Quite park. Plenty of FREE parking. Unlike most of Florida. We parked here on MLK parade day with the help of their police directing traffic. Would return next time we are in St. Petersburg. Decent walk to the downtown area, and not too far from the Dali Museum.

The park is nice, but small and the parking is limited. I would not say that this park would be a destination unless for an event, but more a nice place to relax if in the area. The views of the water and the marina scenic. The grassy areas and benches are inviting. There was an event at the Marina... More

Great place to park for lunch. Great for sitting and listening to the waves and viewing the sailboats. Not to be missed

this is the southenmost of the downtown bayfront parks. It extends out into the bay as there are boats docked on the side of it. There's a good playground for small kids here.

One of the best things about coming to st Pete by boat is that you have the city marina , the park the ships store , fuel and walk thru the park into all those restaurants and even have outdoor plays in season.

It was a Russian emigre who laid the rails and brought his rolling stock into a sand-street fishing hamlet in the 1880s. Pyotr Demenivitch won a legendary coin-flip with the owner of the land, and thus got to name the crossroads after his somewhat grander hometown -- St. Petersburg. His only public memorial is this small, waterfront park with a... More

The park has a boat launch, marina and a playground. My favorite part about this park is the tribute statue to fallen officers. I appreciate the city of St. Pete for dedicating such a beautiful spot to the fallen officers. They will always be remembered, never forgotten.

I attended a production of Hair a few years ago and it was wonderful to see it outside. It brought back a good vibration of past outdoor events. May need bug spray...
