Didn't think I'd find this of more than an hours worth of interest. How wrong I was. It encompassed a history of flight beyond St. Petersburg. The Mini Baseball Hall of Fame was the surprise. If you are interested in baseball than seeing over 4000 signed baseballs and listening too and reading about the baseball greats was worth the trip.... More

This is, perhaps, one of the smallest museums I've ever been in. Not really a destination, but worth a look around if you happen to be passing by. The museum is just across from the museum of Fine Art, so it's easy to find, and conveniently located. There was a small admission fee the last time I was here.

If you are a baseball fan, this will rate 5 stars. Otherwise, it's a charming museum with limited displays. The history of St. Petersburg is well-represented in an interesting manner. The museum is a short stroll from the pier and baywalk, and visiting all would be a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

Ever since I was a young boy I always loved this museum, anyone visiting the area should see this place.

Although it is not large, it is definitely worth visiting. As described in the previous review, the baseball exhibit is a must see. It is amazing what historical baseballs are there for viewing. The other parts of the museum are pretty decent as well. Overall, worth visiting.

Attended the grand opening of Schrader's Little Cooperstown at the Museum today. This collection is certified by Guinness as the World's Largest Collection of Autographed Baseballs, and is on load to the Museum for 20 years. But its so much more than a bunch of signed balls. This exhibit has something for everyone - packed with stories the most hardcore... More

This little museum is fascinating if you give it half a chance. No, there aren't any fancy digital displays here, but if you don't mind reading a few placards (which are charming in an old-fashioned way), you'll learn a lot about St. Petersburg: its history and how that history has led to the problems that St. Petersburg is experiencing now... This museum does not have much to hold your interest for very long for most visitors. Almost all displays have only printed notes. Not visually stimulating or unique. Surrounding views are the best part. Not a lot of parking spaces. For $12 admission, save your $.

I didn't realise how many early aviators used this area of Florida, and the exhibit about the early pioneers was fascinating. Loved the WW2 display. Not sure about the mummy- would be nice to get some proper assessment carried out on her....

All I can say is I am glad I had a Groupon for this facility. I enjoy museums but am not the type to read each and every description and to be honest what is on display here are your average items relating to the growth of an area. The two exceptions for me are the history of aviation in... More
