The Mahaffey Theater has a constant stream of renowned performers of all types and regularly features the magnificent Florida Orchestra. It has everything from Opera and Symphonies to rock 'n roll and big names from the past.

My wife and I went to see a couple of the guys from "Who's Line is it Anyway". We had a great time. The theater itself was beautiful on the inside, classic style architecture. There is a fee for parking so be sure to bring some cash, they don't except cards for parking.

Small venue for concerts but convenient to downtown, the mahaffey doesn't normally attract top performers but I was fortunate enough to see the moody blues and Steve Martin and the steep canyon rangers so attractions do come to the Mahaffey

This venue is great for concerts and shows. The seats are comfy and they are all very close to the stage. Park in the lot for the Dali museum next door for only $5 and less crowds. For the concert we attended, there were plenty selections of beer, alcohol, sodas, and food. When you buy tickets online they do not... More

Highlighting the fact that shyster towing services will tow your vehicle if you are cheap like me. $106 fee plus a $10 cab ride. 11PM and your car is missing. In the rain. Made a great Mahaffey concert experience suck. Word to the wise - pay the $5 up front to park in the theater lot.

Over the course of the last 2 years we've been to the Mahaffey Theater several times and have enjoyed the events and venues due to the intimacy and size. It's not a facility where you need a jumbo tron to see what's taking place on stage when you're stuck in the nose-bleed section. All seats are good seats and the... More

We came to Tampa to see a concert by the Pet Shop Boys last September. The theatre is very nice. Lobby is large with several concessions selling beverages (both non- and alcoholic). Theatre is a good size, approximately 2,000 seats, and it seems there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Make sure to get there early, as parking... More

Periodically we catch a performance of the Florida Orchestra at the Mahaffey. The setting is marvelous as the theater is located with a view of the bay complete with boats big and small and a delightful fountain. Adore the box seats and slightly elevated lodge. Acoustics are wonderful. Lobby is spacious and once in a while one can catch a... More

They announced Morrissey Concert as " sold out " but I was able to buy a ticket at the box office just before the show . I contacted them twice to see any tickets available.First I was told that it is a sold out event. Then I asked them whether any tickets would be available right before the show (refunded... More

Windy L, Director of Marketing at Mahaffey Theater, responded to this review

Hi Muhammed- I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience trying to buy tickets for Morrissey. For most shows, the artist's label and management company will place tickets on a hold for their exclusive use. Once they do that, the venue is no longer able to sell those tickets. Typically those seats are used by the band's... More

One of the best theaters I've ever been in. There are no bad seats. The acoustics are spectacular! The shows start with free coffee and donuts, then an hour of lecture about one of the featured instruments in the performance.t
