I have been to several concerts here and love it! The acoustics are awesome and not a bad seat in the house. Prices for concerts are reasonable and the variety of artists are nice too! Only down fall, no place to eat inside. You can walk to many restaurants from the theater.

We recently went to the Mahaffey for a Halestorm concert and were so impressed! The entrace was elegant, the customer service impeccable, and the acoustics fantastic. There is no bad seat in the house, and the intimacy of the experience is quite remarkable. We had comfortable seats, and enjoyed the show with delicious beverages at reasonable prices. Even the restrooms... More

I love this setting, inside and out. Great location and walking distance to hotel, restaurants, shopping, waterfront and Dali Museum of course and great parking. Newly remodeled and good acoustics - in which I enjoy Florida Orchestra, concerts and shows. A true gem in St. Pete.

Great location - scenic water views and close to museums, parks, shops, and excellent and diverse dining. Medium size theater. Seating is comfortable, adequate spacing and provide good views. Parking is on property and very convenient. Majority of staff is friendly and helpful, although a few lack appropriate skills. One staff member provided inappropriate, sarcastic comments when assisting with seating.... More

I've visited the Mahaffey several times for concerts - primarily the FL Orchestra when they are performing contemporary music such as the Stones, Eagles, Beatles, etc. I recently watched them perform with the Mambo Kings. The venue is excellent, acoustics are great and the entire staff is friendly. We can even pre-order intermission refreshments to avoid waiting in line. A... More

I like the garage parking because it makes an easier experience for handicapped individuals. The theater itself is well designed and, in my opinion, not any subpar seating anywhere in the building. Large picture windows open out to a fantastic view of Tampa Bay.

Went to see Chris Isaak at the Mahaffey for Xmas, 2013. Sat up pretty high, but still had a good view. As a special bonus, a cross dresser and his wife sat directly in front of us, and they brought her elderly parents. What a hoot! St Pete is a changin'!!

Went to see Steve Martin and Martin Short. Really surprised at how nice the seating was. Easy to get to, lots of good seats for viewing. Sound was good, nice setting. Of course the show was great too. Drinks were a little steep but that's to be expected I guess. I would definitely return to this theater.

This ciyt-owned theater, decades old, was thoroughly renovated and a modern sound system installed few years ago. It's quite nice on the inside, and the lobby has a massive, floor-to-ceiling wall of glass overlooking Tampa Bay. Excellent sight lines in the theater, as there are no pillars. I've attended musicals, tribute-band concerts and a fab Tony Bennett show in which,... More
