We took the Egmont Key Cruise--a 4 hour trip from Tierra Verde, FL to Egmont Key, a small island at the mouth of Tampa Bay. After the mandatory safety and orientation we left the dock toward the key. The canal view itself was interesting--lots of million dollar "cottages" and boats. Once we hit the bay it wasn't long before we... More

The boat was clean and the crew was friendly but after an anchoring issue and their willingness to let passengers on the boat risk themselves by jumping into the Gulf of Mexico to assist with no life preserving aides, I started to doubt their abilities. The island was interesting and fun to explore. However, after witnessing one passenger who was... More

Trip started out great. We saw a manatee while leaving and dolphin right outside marina. Got Interesting when we got to egmont and we had a anchoring issue but got resolved. Island and beach were not that interesting as they were dirty. Maybe because it was fall but none the less. The crew was great. Last stop upset me thou... More

We went out with Island Adventures this week. Hans and John were wonderful!! Betty made the booking process easy and finding the marina turnkey. I had an underwater camera with me - dropped it in the water at the snorkelling site. John went down to look for it but nothing was found. I left my details with the crew and... More

Had a great time on the Calypso Cat! Made a reservation over the phone with Betty. They send a text message reminder the day prior with detailed driving directions and parking info. Captain and his mate were great. Loved the history Captain shared throughout the tour.

Had a great time with Capt. Hans and John. They were both helpful and had a lot of info to share not only about Egmont Key but also about the area all around us. The snorkeling was cloudy but still a nice time spent in the water. On the way back we were able to see several groups of dolphins,... More

My family and I went on the island boat adventure trip today. We had a great day, saw a mother and baby dolphin swimming, snorkelled by the rocks, explored the island and looked for pretty shells. Hans and John were lovely, very informative and gave loads of information about the dolphins, island and more. Well worth the money and the... More

The people were lots of fun. Captain was great. And the weather was perfect. Snorkeling was challenging for me but still a great trip. Worth the 50$ for sure.

Good crew, interesting island visit, less good snorkeling at the dive site. Take your mask to shore and use it to see shells and marine life in the shallows.
