Great Ex is getting better and better. The new Great Beginnings area for young kids is fabulous. My grandson played for hours and didn't want to leave. There's a fake beach that kids can play in - without the heat and sticky sand! This place is absolutely fantastic! If you haven't been to this museum in awhile, you're missing something.

I haven't been in a while, but when my kids were younger, we would spend the day playing with the different displays and learning experiences.

It gives kids an excellent opportunity to explore the basics of natural science. It's hand-in-glove with the Sunken Gardens, And Coldstone has the best ice cream you ever had in any July before or since... A word of caution: crossing 4th Street at the flashing yellow pedestrian crossing is a life-and-death gamble. The city seriously needs to work on pedestrian... More

It was great! Had everything my little ones ( 2-8yrs) loved. It kept them busy 4 hours. New area with a little farm and get this, a beach. No real water or sand,or hot sun. Lots of pretend sand and toys to play with at the beach area. They all played together in that area for 2 hrs. This is... More

I took 3 boys 6-7 years of age, they had a great time! The exhibits were all different and kept them running from one to another. We spent 2 1/2 hours there, a fun afternoon on a rainy day! The staff was very friendly!! We will be back!

This place charges enough that it should be able to maintain the stations! Puzzle pieces missing. Most of the stations were missing things or just flat out broken. They need to step up and fix this place to make it worth it for kids and their parents. It is just not worth the money. I wish I had turned around... More

My son has practically grown up at Great Ex. He's been entranced with this museum since he was a toddler and enjoys it even now at age 8. On our recent visit, we went through the touch tunnel which had a bit of a line, but was still fun. He loves the "real" tree houses, vet's office, and mini supermarket.... More

Great indoor/air conditioned place to take the children to. We all had a lot of fun.. not just the kids, but us big kids too. The kids explore, learn, pretend and use their imagination here. There are areas for certain things.. like pretend to be a fireman, equipped with little truck, pole to slide down and uniform to put on.... More

This is a great museum for elementary-aged kids and younger on a rainy afternoon. It's small enough to let your kids roam freely, big enough to keep them entertained for a while. The exhibits are interesting, even for us big kids!
