My son has practically grown up at Great Ex. He's been entranced with this museum since he was a toddler and enjoys it even now at age 8. On our recent visit, we went through the touch tunnel which had a bit of a line, but was still fun. He loves the "real" tree houses, vet's office, and mini supermarket.... More

Great indoor/air conditioned place to take the children to. We all had a lot of fun.. not just the kids, but us big kids too. The kids explore, learn, pretend and use their imagination here. There are areas for certain things.. like pretend to be a fireman, equipped with little truck, pole to slide down and uniform to put on.... More

This is a great museum for elementary-aged kids and younger on a rainy afternoon. It's small enough to let your kids roam freely, big enough to keep them entertained for a while. The exhibits are interesting, even for us big kids! More

As a local in the Tampa Bay area, Im always looking for fun places to take my toddler on rainy days when we are feeling like we need to get out. Great Explorations is a perfect stop for us. We stay several hours and play & get all our energy out! With exhibits such as: Fire Truck/Station & Fire Safety,... More

This has the potential to be an amzing place for kids but fell way short of expectations... the exhibits don't have enough things in them for more than one or two kids max to play with at one time. For example, only two shopping carts for entire grocery so you know with 8 kids wanting to play, many were upset.... More

Exploration station could use some updating and repair. It was so lackluster that we have no interest in returning. More

This is a great place to be, even I was interested in some of the things they have like the sound-vibration experiment or plastic balls popping up into the air:) Or oranges making circles around the room:) Really neat! My kid fell in love with the fire truck and the news-room! It's a little bit outdated and does need some... More
