After spending a lot of time in NYC museums, we were not expecting St. Pete's MoFA to be much of anything. However, we were very pleasantly surprised to discover this museum's collections were more expansive than we could have imagined. In fact, because we made the mistake of going after lunch, we did not allow ourselves to visit the entire... More

The museum still has the wonderful classic pieces it has always had and it was great to see the ancient artifacts again. The photographic exhibit was neat. I really enjoyed sitting in their garden.

was able to vulture a parking spot (metered) right out front which was divine. busy busy day w/being free museum day and museum was packed! but was able to walk thru and see their really neat exhibits. had to keep moving w/the crowd but was worth it. kids didn't appreciate the crowd but for free it was tolerable. :)

Collection covers several different areas and is a manageable size. Stopped her because I found a parking space right in front while enroute to another destination.Very glad I did and I'll probably go back. Unreliable guides. The docents are volunteers so it's not like a paid staff, BUT, don't list a schedule for guided tours if it's likely the guide... More

Several great pieces, but overall collection was a bit limited. Admission was pretty high at $17, but there were coupons in the tourist brochures for $10 admission. This was not one of our favorite musuems.

I enjoyed seeing art from ancient times and many Asian countries. There were also paintings by Georgia O'Keefe and others. Not enough to satisfy me however. It was too small for my taste.

I love art museums and this is a good one! MOFA has a lovely permanent collection and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Don't miss it if you're in town and you enjoy fine art!

A wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon. They have a very interesting collection and I would definitely go back next time I am in St. Pete. Even my husband enjoyed it, which was a surprise.

We mostly wanted to see the Impressionist painters, but the Panama Canal exhibit was also interesting. Guess we're spoiled by the free admission at the national museums in Washington DC where we live.
