This is a very nice museum, not too large, and houses a great collection. We visited in mid March when the Art in Bloom 2015 was on. This is definitely a must see if you’re a flower lover. What a fabulous concept: floral arrangements created by professional as well as amateur designers interpreting various pieces of art. Ingenious! What a... More

We loved this museum. It's a beautiful building, has some wonderful collections and we lucked out with a delightful and incredibly knowledgeable docent. Go, go, go... In addition, the location is perfect, on the water and across the street from a large number of very good restaurants.

I know you are paying to keep the museum open and pay for exhibits but this really did not but like an hour. We went for my son to do research for a school project. Are we super museum people, NO. Lots of different works of art although the sculpture garden only had like 4 statues of people. I wish... More

We went here with some friends and were not disappointed. There is lots of room to walk around and the displays are in a variety of rooms. They have a selection of paintings done by the old masters plus they have a few sculptures and some modern art pieces on display. There is a small outside courtyard to visit on... More

I was very disappointed in the exhibit called Monet to Matisse on the French Coast. From the title I expected a collection, on loan of course, of works by Money and Matisse. There was one painting by Monet and two by Matisse. I thought that was deceptive advertising. When mentioned to the staff, they were very defensive as if my... More

I have been to many art museums, and for its medium size this one is very nice. Saw a special exhibit and also some of the permanent collection. Staff was very helpful and the building itself beautiful in a simple way. Gift store is large and has many quality items to sell. I would go back again.

We went to visit the MFA in St. Pete to view the Monet to Matisse exhibit at this very picturesque museum. It was a lovely exhibit and nicely organized, However, it was trumped in my mind by the "Life is a Beach" exhibit by Martin Parr. This photography exhibit captured beaches from all over the world. Parr is from the... More

I was lucky enough to be there when they had flower arrangements next to many of the paintings. I thought the art was well worth seeing. I also enjoyed the temporary exhibit about French sea coast resorts. The gift shop was good, too. It is not far from most of the fancy hotels. It is fairly small but there is... More

The collection in the gallery is spectacular. Our membership to Dali is over in one month and we were considering becoming members However, because of your security person John G. we have reconsidered He was rude and creepy. He followed us around making us quite uncomfortable From following us downstairs to the ladies room to staring at us non stop... More
