I did enjoy my visit to this museum. I am not a hug musuem person but did like this one. It isn't the nicest or best museum that I have ever been too...... But, it is worth the price and a place I would suggest to people espcially if you are into museums.

This museum is of a manageable size. I was fortunate to arrive just as a docent-lead tour was beginning. She educated us about key pieces in each of the galleries. Her excitement was contagious. Some pieces by my favourites, Monet and Renoir. Nice gift shop.

What the museum of fine arts lacks in size it more than makes up for with exhibits and artwork. The special exhibit Marks Made Prints by American Women Artists from the 1960s to the Present was especially interesting.

Everyone needs to regularly take a slower step to appreciate some of the finer points of culture in our society. We spent the afternoon on a chilly day, caught our breath and reset our cultural levels. The St. Pete Museum of Fine Arts displays a wide array of art, something for everyone. We were particularly impressed by the Guerrilla Girls... More

We have visited a number of Art Museums and we were particularly impressed with their facilities and their presentation of their permanent Art. They have a variety of rooms with dedicated themes and large center halls with wonderful paintings. The day we were there, they also had a special attraction - a Tibetan scholar and former Buddhist monk, who used... More

but It is a delightful experience to wander through this intimate collection. Some of the pieces are out there a little bit, but it's well worth the time spent.

The Museum has a solid collection of paintings from different epochs -- from the Renaissance and Impressionism till modern times-- both by European and American artists. The collection is constantly updated and changes, since many of the works are given for temporary exhibits by private collectors. My favorite sections were Impressionists and a separate exhibit called Marks Made representing modern... More

Husband and I LOVE to go to museums and this one was a wonderful day trip. Expansive collection meant one could spend an ENTIRE day slowly taking it all in, which was good because the day we visited it POURED all day long. We really enjoyed the peace as we strolled through the varied collection.
