Excellent exhibits covering all ages and types of art. It even has a fantastic waterfront cafe to have lunch or refreshments while resting in between galleries. There are also evening and weekend activities for families and adults. Don't miss the beautiful courtyard!

Lovely collection of many different types of fine arts in a great central location. Don't miss the beautiful "indoor garden" exhibit rooms and treat yourself afterwards with a glass of wine on their back deck overlooking Tampa Bay...absolutely stunning! Great special events including Porch Parties for the community.

We spend a very pleasant Thursday evening at the MFA - St. Petersburg prior to having a late dinner nearby. The grounds and facility are very well maintained; the staff was very cordial; and the permanent collection was remarkably interesting for a small museum. We enjoyed the overall survey of world art that the MFA presents and visited the awesome... More

The perfect size for a few hour stroll. Excellent items and high caliber. Nice variety. Covers the full spectrum you'd find at the world's largest museums.

Love the mixed exhibition was really good from ancient art to the surrealism, nice points of the museum, you can get pictures with no flash, seats in rooms, although it is a small museum, it is nice because you won't end up tired, across the museum nice places to eat and refresh yourself. The temporary exhibition was really good, Chinese... More

This museum is surprisingly good considering its relatively small size. A manageable few floors contain a huge number of paintings plus a few sculptures and glass works, and the permanent collection has at least one piece each by Cezanne, Gauguin, and other big names, as well as my favorite Monet ("Houses of Parliament" showing a foggy London scene). The museum... More

I always enjoy my visits at the Museum of Fine Arts. They display their permanent collection which is quite impressive for a smaller town museum. They also usually have a traveling exhibit which is usually of excellent quality. I remember especially Andy Wahrol and Philip Pearlstein. You can also enjoy lunch at the museum cafe. OK gift shop.

I had an extra afternoon to spend in the area and decided to visit the MFA. A volunteer tour guide offered me and several ladies a tour, which was well appreciated and enjoyable. However, this museum was simply not very interesting. I was there only a few days ago and don't recall anything particularly remarkable about it.

This museum is on the small side but a lot is packed in here. The early Mexican art work (as early as B.C.) was amazing. There's a little bit of everything in here, Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Rodin. There was a temporary exhibit of photographs by Aaron Suskind of the Harlem section to NYC. Recommend this museum.

We came to see the special exhibit of young mainland Chinese artists working with fabric, canvas, pottery etc. (There is a companion exhibit at the Tampa Museum of Art that we will visit soon.) Delightful. Too bad that our docent felt compelled to comment on her view of the politics there. We also always see the current photography special show...Aaron... More
