Our first visit to this art museum. All of the art is very well presented. Doesn't take long to do a self guided tour, even with frequent stops to sit and admire certain works. If you go, be sure to get a coupon out of the many tourist brochures found everywhere. It will save you a few dollars off the... More

This is a small, venerable museum, right on the Bay in the marvelously reborn St. Petersburgh FL. The classical building, the lovely permanent collection are made more delightful by the astounding visiting exhibits. This is a small city that does a giant job of sharing the arts.

I have been to this compact museum dozens of times as it was free my entire childhood. The building itself is a gem, and the collection, while small, is diverse and great for a museum of its size.

Not a huge building, but good enough for what exhibits. Worthwhile going, if you like art, don’t miss it!

As per the Article on the Tampa website for local events, there was NO demonstration at the museum today. We drove an hour one way to visit the museum and to see a glass blowing demonstration. There was only an hour long seminar with two artists. Someone signed off on the article, someone made a mistake. Such a disappointment. Yes,... More

This museum's permanent collection is very nice ...not particularly exceptional when compared to other museums in larger cities but very nice for a town as small as St. Petersburg (nothing wrong with a Monet or a couple of Georgia O'Keefe's just a small museum with a limited collection). They have a very nice collection of ancient art pieces, Roman, Greek,... More

(last visit was 02/20/2012) I have visited this establishment twice over the years. 1)in 4th Grade for an African Tribal Art exhibit; 2)Ancient Egyptian Art exhibt. I took Mom and we made a morning of it to view the exhibits. You cannot pay for just one part, the price of admission includes the whole buidling. So relax and stroll around... More

Though it's a relatively small museum, it has some nice okeefes and monet's. The two outdoor gardens are relying as well. Great for a rainy day

there were some very interesting pieces from all periods here to enjoy. I think my view of the museum was rather overshadowed by coming straight from the Dali. Perhaps if I had some it the other way I would have been more enthusiastic
