If you want to see gators and lots of other critters I highly recommend "Sawgrass"! Another frequent favorite of mine. For families and nature lovers, this park has bathrooms and a picnic area equipped with grills, tables and trails. True Florida habitat with winding boardwalks leading to an observation tower that you can climb (lots of stairs, no elevator). Bring... More

Beautiful, tree-lined boardwalk that winds through the park. Clean Bathrooms, picnic tables, a little hidden gem

I like this park because it is well shaded which is a must with the Florida heat. The trail to the left leads to a lake with a two story lookout pavilion. Small children will like the bridge leading to the trails where they can see fish, turtles, and alligators.

You can wander far and deep into Florida's swamps and not see as many baby gators as you'll find at Sawgrass Lake most of the time. Walk the relatively cooler boardwalk through the forested swamp and check out the reptiles, birds and other critters all around you. Close to downtown and in the burbs, but there is no more peaceful... More

Wonderful park for birding, walking, photography - and for families. The interpretive signs are at the Visitor Center - so read them before you walk. Bathroom facilities and picnic spots.

Just a nice summer day in a large, quiet park. Great place to walk trails or picnic. We just walked and enjoyed pet watching; Florida weather makes parks the perfect morning place to walk.

The boardwalks were amazing Isaw so much birdlife, lizards, gators, river otters, butterflys and fish. I spent almost two hours there and I still could have gone back to walk the boardwalk again it was so enjoyable.

This park is nice to get away from the city and view what the area was like 100 years ago. There is an elevated boardwalk that takes you through Florida wetlands. You see alligators in the wild as well as many birds. A shady walk for a sunny day.
