This park is nice to get away from the city and view what the area was like 100 years ago. There is an elevated boardwalk that takes you through Florida wetlands. You see alligators in the wild as well as many birds. A shady walk for a sunny day.

Its a nice little park with a boardwalk through out the majority of the trail. If you go the right time of year you can see alligators and their babies. There are also racoons and armadillos. A good place to get a nice walk in nature.

A walk through Sawgrass Lake Park is time well spent; as the case is with any nature park, you never know what you may see. On my visit, I saw a bunch of small alligators including one that appears to have been freshly hatched, gar fish, an anhingha bird sunning itself, came eye to eye with some little grey squirrels... This park may be small but it has so much wildlife to see! We walked through the boardwalk trails and saw a bunch of small alligators, a snake, and many friendly squirrels. At the observation tower we were lucky to see two larger alligators from a distance. This is definitely the place to come if you are looking to see... More

It may be small but it is beautiful and peaceful. Perfect place to bring kids and bagged lunch..there are boardwalks that lead to a tower that gives a wonderful view.

On a recent stay, I walked or biked to the park every day. There is a beautiful system of boardwalks through the swamp and other areas, along with observation areas and places to sit and relax. We saw a plethora of beautiful exotic birds, turtles, alligators, snakes and an abundance of trees and flowers. This is a beautiful park.

Sawgrass Park is a very beautiful park with plenty of oak trees, trails and wildlife. There is a wooded walkway that snakes through the flora and fauna that culminates at a large lake where gators are seen sunbathing frequently. Don't worry though, you are on a well constructed wooden patio above the water out of reach from any hungry reptiles.... More

Beautiful park to view wildlife, and best of all, it's free. Boardwalk & dirt trails run throughout the park, along with helpful signs giving information about wildlife and the park. Keep your eyes open from side to side as you walk through the park, otherwise you might miss the alligators sunning themselves, or even the huge spiders waiting for their... More

We got to see one big alligator in the distance but when walking back we got to see two baby alligators. Squirrels everywhere lol and one snake. Really cool. Went up top in the viewing deck. Beautiful if you love nature.
