Great hiking on boardwalk trail. We saw mother alligators and their babies. An owl with her babies. Informative bird watchers and friendly park rangers. Places fir picnicking - we enjoyed our walk in the park. Worth it for anybody from walkers, runners, bird watchers, especially photographers

Great park to visit if you want a break from the rush of everything else going on during vacation. Loved walking the trails and seeing alligators in the wild along with a number of birds that I have never seen before. Worth the trip.

My husband and I decided to visit this park, since the week we were in St. Petersburgh was cold. There isn't much to see, except a few birds and a couple of baby alligators, but it's a very nice walk through nature, there is a boardwalk that you can walk all around.

In my opinion this is one of my many favorite parks in the city. It has an impressive boardwalk where it is not unusual to see an enormous alligator sunbathing peacefully. No matter how many times I visit it is never disappointing. It is one of my favorite ways to get lost right in the middle of all the hustle... More

Decided to come here to hopefully see some alligators (saw quite a few!) and enjoy a nice walk in the warm weather. The lakes themselves are a little overgrown and polluted but not to the point where it is not enjoyable.

We spent a lovely afternoon in this park. What a nice change of pace from everything tourist-y in Florida. Free admission. Nicely kept boardwalks and pathways. Saw a lot of animal and bird activity including several gators. Even managed to spot an armadillo. Lots of walking though so be prepared and wear comfy shoes and bring something to drink.

When we moved to St. Petersburg I told a coworker that I wished I could see an alligator live in it's own natural habitat. That is when she recommended Sawgrass Lake Park. Our 3 trips to the park have not been disappointing. Gators, although most have measured up to about 3 feet, have been lurking around the water or sitting... More

This is a wonderful place to visit (free of charge) if you like to walk through nature and see wildlife. There are many trails to take and most are on a boardwalk so it is very easy walking. There were people with canes, walkers and a wheelchairs with no problems. We were there over an hour and we did not... More

Even though I didn't see big alligators, I did see a few baby ones. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold when I went, so there's really not much to see. You also constantly hear gun firing noises as I found out that there is a shooting range nearby. That's a shame since it ruins the nature mood.

For those of us who dont live in the swamp and are just visiting it was awesome to go see the gators. Go on a sunny day and if you are really particular about noise take some ear plugs because a god forsaken shooting range is next door and very loud.
