This is a nice woodsy park with boardwalks throughout. Saw a cute racoon today as well as an armadillo digging in the dirt for food. Saw many types of birds-- my husband saw a hawk perched in a tree. Also saw a nest near the water area at an observation deck complete with some older baby birds in it and... More

This park is just a shame for our city. I come here all of the time and the alligators are thriving so, walk the boardwalk and you will see them. The history is that the connectivity from this lake to the Bay was cut off for expressway development and is now dammed. As a result, there are excessive invasive species,... More

Sawgrass Lake Park is a perfect place to come for a break from everything. It's a very well laid out park with nice walking trails in the natural swampy setting. The park also provides very informative tidbits regarding the habitats of the park, a lookout post and charcoal grills for grilling. I really love coming here and on any given... More

Go when it's not sweltering hot (i.e., early a.m. or early p.m. before the mosquitoes get frisky); good place to catch an alligator in it's nature habitat...not often crowded and leisurely stroll through boardwalks to overlook tower....watch out for large spider webs

We visit this park pretty often to take walks and see some wildlife. It's free and a great place to catch some views of alligators, turtles, armadillos, etc. Great place to go with the family, with friends, with your significant other, or alone for some quiet time.

You will see baby alligator, birds, turtles and if your lucky otters. Love this place! It's a nice little place to visit and learn about Florida's wildlife.

If you want to see gators and lots of other critters I highly recommend "Sawgrass"! Another frequent favorite of mine. For families and nature lovers, this park has bathrooms and a picnic area equipped with grills, tables and trails. True Florida habitat with winding boardwalks leading to an observation tower that you can climb (lots of stairs, no elevator). Bring... More

Beautiful, tree-lined boardwalk that winds through the park. Clean Bathrooms, picnic tables, a little hidden gem

I like this park because it is well shaded which is a must with the Florida heat. The trail to the left leads to a lake with a two story lookout pavilion. Small children will like the bridge leading to the trails where they can see fish, turtles, and alligators.
