Take a boat to Shell Island, a dolphin cruise, a sunset cruise, a ferry to downtown St Petersburg...sit around and people and bird watch. Purchase fresh seafood directly off the fishing boats that come in (let them filet the fish for you!) Small marina with very friendly staff and great ambiance.

Thanks for the parking validation, but I didn't know about it ahead of time. The dock should be washed occasionally with all the bird poop.

Merry Pier offers beautiful scenery, however use caution when coming by boat. During peak hours, it can become very chopping in this area.

Located in historic pass a grill one can just sit and watch the activities, the birds, the boats, the view across , bring a fishing pole and try to catch one, or simply take a ferry out to one of the many destinations in the area.

Easy parking (meters) and a short walk to the beach. Bout noon and 5pm the fishing charters come in. Stop and book your own trip (the Miss Pass a Grille is GREAT for a 1/2 day trip!) or just check out what was caught.

The people who work there are so fun-loving and were helpful, too. Will always remember using this pier for boat rides.

Friendly service, souvenirs, bird watching, dolphin watching, shell key shuttle, sunset cruise, fishing trip, & just a cool little pier! Merry Pier has it all! Dont miss a chance to visit this pier in Pass-A-Grille & definitely take the Shell Key Shuttle! I also loved just walking along the water & watching people catch fish! We spotted a few dolphins,... Nice little pier on the Bay Side, and great place to fish or catch a ferry, fishing boat, or book a sunset cruise.

You can rent a rod and reel and a pier pass for about $20.00, and they give you 20 live shrimp for bait. There are many pelicans and egrets that also hang out here. Don't feed them. You can get pretty close to the birds. I think they like to watch us as much as we enjoyed watching them.
