Owner description: The Beach Theatre is an independent, one-screen movie theatre that plays new, independent, foreign, cult classics and family movies! We serve more than 30 varieties of wine and beer and have the cheapest tickets around at 5-7 dollars! Built in 1939, you get a taste of the golden era of movies with every ticket! While the theatre is reminiscent of the good old days, our movies are shown on a digital, high-definition projector (when possible; some films only come on "film") and we have Dolby Digital Surround Sound! The Beach Theatre seats approximately 246 people and we have a large stage in the front of the theatre, which allows for special events, such as live bands and acts like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" performed with a live cast here on Saturday nights at 11:30pm!

Sadly, this landmark has closed, no longer around, very sad to see it go, just wish someone had saved it because it was fun and an experience.

The Beach Theater was one of the identifying points of St. Pete Beach. Sadly, it closed some months ago. And more sadly, it closed with a messy public owner's divorce, details of which are posted on the theater door. The Beach Theater was "the" place to see indie movies. Get a glass of wine, some popcorn, and sit back and... More

I was speaking with a shopkeeper on Corey Avenue today. She told me that the owner's sons would like to reopen the theater. I hope so!

Due the the Death of the owner and the mess that he made of the finances this historic theater is closed Hopefully, someone will buy it and spend the huge amount of money it will take to renovate it and return it to this small downtown part of our tourist beach community. Tragic!!!!

The Indie films. The foreign films. Rocky Horror at midnight. The monthly showings of the Big Lebowski. If I had a million dollars I would definitely re-incarnate the Beach Theatre. I'm holding on to my Ciema Paradiso punch ticket. Just in case.

great place to get out of the midday Florida heat. second run movies and rocky horror at midnights. but the old girl was starting to show her age. seats broken, a funky smell. maybe no money to upgrade the projector to new digital technology. i miss her.

The theater closed a few months ago. There are no plans to reopen anytime soon. It is a shame as this was the only local theater on Saint Pete Beach.

It's worth the time to attend a showing here. It's a bit out of the way and be careful to feed the meters - parking is enforced.

We were blown away on Sunday night when we migrated from the beach to the pool to watch a great movie and have the kids swim and eat pizza. It was a great ending for a great trip.

It's closed now, but, was in a great location....however, seats were terribly uncomfortable, and projector was antiquated. miss it, but, it needs to be refurbished.
