Our 2 kids loved hunting shells on Shell Island. They got some of the neatest shells. They were pretty big too and colorful and most were whole shells. It is nice because you catch a shuttle boat at 10:15 AM and can return at 12:15, 2:15, or 4:15 whatever works best for you. They stayed the whole time and never... More

This excursion was well worth the money!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Each person receives their own shell bag, and they offer beach umbrellas and snorkel and masks to use while you are on the island. The beach itself is beautiful, with lots of shells and sea life. Sting rays swam right around our group and they were... More

Great place for fun in the sun. Great shops and restaurants of all kinds. We usually spent a few hours here once or twice during our St. Pete vacations.

The shuttle is a 10 minute ride to the island on the way over saw a dolphin. Was a wonderful beach to swim, relax and to collect shells. The couple on the boat warned of stingrays in the water and they were not joking saw a few in the water. I saw a group of 4 swim right up to... More

We found so many shells! The couple that took us out taught us so much information that was useful. They do leave you out there for 2 hours so take drinks if you think you will get thirsty. They provide snorkels and goggles and umbrellas if you would like and bags for your shells! You will see plenty of fish,... More

A must do when you are in the St Pete area. You board a pontoon boat and travel approx 10 minutes to a island that is a nature preserve. Many areas roped off at this time of year due to bird nesting. You are provided an umbrella, snorkel and shell bag. Everything else must be carried in- coolers, food, etc.... More

The best part was the view from the island. If you're wanting large shells this is not the place. I was disappointed to say the least. Before the owner says I should've stuck around and said something... No one was there to talk to because they had to run back to get the other ppl ready to go on the... More

We booked the sunset dolphin watch cruise. The captain is clearly an expert in boating and in the area, and gave great descriptions of the local homes and wildlife as we cruised. Trip had to be cut short as a sudden thunderstorm popped up. We headed quickly back to shore, and the crew's skill was clearly on display as we... More

My best friend and I decided to get away from our families for a few days and take a little vacation to Florida. While searching for interesting things to do, we came across Shell Key Shuttle and decided to try it. I can't tell you how glad we both were that we did!!! It was a nice little boat ride... More
