It sounded like such a good idea. The boat ride was uneventful. The captain and mate were very informative, unfortunately there were few worth the money spent shells available. Probably won't do again.

During our stay at St. Pete's beach our hotel concierge recommended for us to visit Shell Key and we were so happy he did. This was the best day trip ever! I traveled with my 2 children ages 6 and 12. I was a bit worried because first this is a primitive island. Nothing is there, and when I say... More

Pack a picnic and stay for the day. Umbrellas are provided and much appreciated. On the ride back we saw a pod of dolphins which was a bonus for the people who had not seen Dolphins while out on Shell Key. I would recommend this outing for anyone who enjoys a non-commercial setting. Don't forget your water shoes - Shell... More

Very well organised - but left to your own devices once on She'll a Island. Lots of good information at start and finish and great staff. Would definitely recommend

Although the $25 price tag for a ten minute boat ride seemed pricey, I was happy with the service. My husband and I took the shuttle over to the Key on the first trip of the day. Definitely the one you want to go on because the most shells are available at that time. They gave us each a bag... More

For the price, $25/ person, it was terrific. Diet ride to a small beach area. Water was to murky to snorkel much, but I did try. Saw dolphins, manatees, sting rays and lots of great sun. Awesome relaxing way too get away. There are no restrooms and you must bring anything you want with you. But all in all terrific... More

Our family took the sunset cruise with Colleen and Joe and had a wonderful time! It was so much more than we expected. The Shell Key Shuttle is definitely the way to go if you are going to do a Sunset Cruise in St Pete Beach. You can bring drinks and munchies with you and the boat has seats the... More

We took the advise of other trip advisors and went on the early shuttle at 10 am. Glad we did because we snorkeled and found many cool shells. We noticed by noon the water was getting murky and it was hard to see shells while snorkeling. For $25 per person (adults) you get the boat ride to the island, snorkel... More

My daughter and I are down visiting the area of St Pete's Beach for a destination wedding area. She mentioned we should try this. I really enjoyed it. And will do this again on any future visits. Look up the website for directions. Easy short drive from hotels on St. Pete's.(or check out the trolley shuttle for times to Pass... More
