This was truly a life experience. To be on an island where there are no buildings no ppl, no nothing. Just you and nature! I had hopes of finding A sand dollar and SOME nice shells. I found over 20 sand dollars along with a huge bag of beautiful seashells, sea urchins, and starfish. Nancy was really terrific and so... More

If you want a different adventure, this is the one! They are scheduled to go to Shell Key 7 days a week but you should call to before you go to make sure on they are going. The weather is the important to the safety of the passengers and the boat. The "Key" is an protected island for nesting birds... More

We took our grandson over to Shell Key Preserve using the shuttle as previously we had visited Egmont Key and had a great time. Shell Key itself is really interesting and we saw Dolphins, lots of conch in the water, bird life etc but be warned on a hot day it is very hot as there is no shelter unless... More

The shuttle out to Shell Key was nice. The staff was very nice. I like that they offer umbrellas, snorkels, and bags to collect your shells in. They were very courteous and knowledgeable about Shell Key, which was helpful. My only complaint is the cost involved, I think the price they charge is a bit steep for the short ferry... More

Great way to get over to shell island. They provide umbrella and snorkeling gear. Went earlier to Dolphin Landing first, drove 40 minutes and they would not go unless they had at least 4 full paying adults. Not good when there is 3 of you. That made us find Island Shuttle, cheaper and better people.

This is a great trip for the price, the shuttle drops you off on Shell Key, complete with snorkel, parasol and shell bag. The "off-limit" signs are all explained on the way out and when you get there it's just a matter of picking a spot, setting up camp and then off shelling and snorkelling. Seeing dolphins swimming passed was... More

Unless you have your own private watercraft the Merry Pier was probably the only way to get to Shell Island via shuttle. The shuttle staff were incredible. They shuttled you across this small area of water to a desolate island. They were extremely informative on the aquatic life and would answer any questions. They even stopped so that all the... More

This a great trip for a good price. Crew very knowledgeable and caring. When we signed up they informed us the weather condition and that we may not be able to stay out as long as we wanted. We saw some dolphins and they took some time for us to be able to view them safely. When we got to... More

My family took the shuttle to do some snorkeling and shell collecting. The price was right and they included bags to collect shells with. My daughters were ecstatic to find so many neat shells and get to snorkel with fish on Shell Key. Totally would recommend this!

Great ride to the Preserve. The captain gave tips on where to find shells, how not to step on stingrays (shuffle your feet!) and the rules (stay on the beach, except the bird sanctuary, stay off the beach, go in the water). First shuttle at 10 am, and you can stay till 4:15 if you like.
