Had a Great day on shell key. Boat ride is only 10 or 15 minutes so no big deal but the island is great and the shells are plentiful. Got some nice sand dollars and decent shells. If you love to collect shells this is the place to go, loved it. I saw stingrays, shark and a dolphin while there. They provide an unbrella and snorkel equipment. Their schedule is very nice to accomodate how long you want to stay.

Bird sanctuary, clear clean water with many gorgeous sea shells....found about 100 shells from little gems to 6 inch pen shells and large 5 inch cockle shells!
