The Shell Key shuttle is a great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a quick shuttle ride to Shell Key from pass-a-grille. You can stay for a few hours or most of the day. The beach is beautiful. We found a lot of sand dollars and tons of beautiful shells. They give you a shell bag and... More

We had a nice time but for the money ($62.50 for a family of 3) we would have been just as happy to stay on the beach for free. Would not do again.

Solitude in the sun, complete with prime shelling and birdwatching. Bring your own bottled water & some fresh fruit for a day in the sun...but don't forget sunscreen as there are no beach umbrellas here unless you brought your own. Very relaxing. Crystal clear Gulf water. Priceless serenity. Shell Key Shuttle is worth the small fee to taxi you to... More

This was a short boat ride to a gorgeous, peaceful island. The last thing we wanted was a long walk hauling our stuff on a crowded beach and this was the exact opposite: we were literally dropped off right on the beach and could spread a towel within steps of our landing. We found some gorgeous shells and a couple... More

This was an amazing activity. The operators of the boat were friendly and helpful. The boat ride to the island was pretty. When we disembarked onto the beach, the crew made sure we had what we needed. Thank you for a fantastic trip. I loved all the seashells I found and even found 2 sand dollars!

The trip today was awesome. A very short boat ride to Shell Key, nature preserve. Shells were instantly in sight and abundant so that you did not feel the need to scramble for the good ones. They offered plenty of shell bags for the 13 of us. We saw sea stars, sea urchins and small crab. We collected all the... More

The trip over to Shell Key is a very short one. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer questions and are very helpful when disembarking the boat. They provided us with only 2 mesh shell bags for 6 of us. They also lent us a beach umbrella and snorkel and masks. That is a good thing because the... More

Took kids ages 7 and 9 on this excursion. While we didn't find as many sand dollars or shell varieties as some reviewers we found enough to delight the kids. (It seems looking in the water was the trick.) The key is a lovely, quiet spot to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the sand, the many different birds,... More
