The guide put us right on the fish! We caught a ton of keepers and were well cared for throughout the day. It was very convenient to leave from SGI instead of having to catch a charter in the mainland.

We went on a two hour trip to the cut for shelling. Great boat, very smooth ride. Russ was an excellent guide. Great historian. Russ pointed out several interesting sites including Eagles nests and two eagles. We will definitely return next time we are in SGI. Would request that Journeys consider offering lower rates in the mid/slower season as I... More

Journey's always does a great job of making sure we have a great time. Finding dolphins to play in our wake, searching for the best and biggest shells and learning more about the Apalach Bay eco system along the way. We've seen all kinds of birds, bird nests, fish and plenty of dolphins. Loads of fun and the boat captains... More

Our trip to St George Island was too far to drag our own kayaks along so I started to research our rental options. Journeys is very well equipped with rental kayaks, guided trips form kayaks to fully chartered boat trips of all kinds. They are also a nice beach shop and tackle shop. Their prices are competitive to their island... More

My dad, my sister's boyfriend, and myself took a half-day guided fishing trip that was set up through Journeys and it was amazing! We had Captain Clint and we couldn't have been happier. His boat was immaculate, he's very friendly, and his knowledge of the fishing was top-notch. Within 5 minutes of having two lines in the water trolling we... More

Saw and did it all - up close dolphin encounter, amazing fishing and shelling. Six and three year olds had a blast as did parents and grandparents. Many thanks to the awesome Captain Jack.

We wanted a day to enjoy Little St George island, to get 'out on the water', do a little shelling and maybe see some wildlife. Jeremy was our boat driver - captain? We enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The 'workhorse' of a boat made us feel at home and relaxed about sitting or kneeling or climbing around as needed... More

This is our second time using Journeys while on the island, we have used them for guided tours and just renting kayaks to go on our own. Their equipment is always high quality and their staff is so knowledgable, and willing to take the time to answer all of our questions and helped us find the perfect place to take... More

My husband and I have traveled to SGI for the last 13 or so years and his family has vacationed there since the 70s and they had never been up the Apalach River. We hired a guide through Journeys to take us on the trip and it was awesome. It was a nice change up from a day at the... More

We used Journeys to rent a kayak upon arrival on St. George Island. We opted to pick the kayak up ourselves as opposed to utilizing the free delivery service. Checking in and getting the kayak was quick and efficient. I was allowed to pick the kayak I preferred and it was loaded on my truck for me. Later in the... More
