What a pleasant way to take as stroll along the beach. You see lots of native birds and other little creatures. We always make a trip to the park while staying on the island. We love to go late in the day before it closes, there are pictures at every turn. They have done a great job keeping this a... More

We went to the park the last day do our trip, as soon as the park was open. It is open from sun up to sun down. We had to pay a per car fee, which was fine and the guy manning the entrance told us that the sting rays were out. We appreciated that information! We took a picnic... More

The beach is at the east end of St. George Island. Be watchful of the slow speed limit in getting there since the local police are quick to ticket. Upon arrival, there are two outdoor pavilions along with a central bath house with restrooms. That's a nice feature. There is a soft drink machine at $1.50 per drink. Two stairways... More

Miles and miles of white pristine beach with very few people on it. Walked, rode our bikes, kayaked. Great campground was clean and sites are spacious. The campground has easy assess to the beach and bike trails. Went shelling and collected many shells. Saw marine life: Dolphins, sting rays, many fish, starfish, sand dollars and ghost crabs. I would highly... More

Then go to this Fla State Park. Perhaps it was because it was a Thursday, however, the beach was deserted. And at night, the gate is closed and if you are camping, you have access to the Gulf within a quarter mile bike ride from the camp ground. Now, I read the reviews before heading to St George, and some... More

We went here and found it to be a very clean park with staff that were friendly and helpful. The beaches were clean as were the facilities. There were places to sit down for a picnic lunch as well as restrooms and an outdoor shower. The staff kept us informed of tidal and marine life conditions, which allowed us to... More

The perfect beach- white clean sand, no car traffic. Perfect for a family day. My husband fished while the kids and I swam, collected shells and found loads of starfish! Beautiful! $6 a car park fee is worth it. No shade, so bring an umbrella!

This place is awesome, only $6 for the car load to come in. There were hardly any people here and you could grab a stretch of beach and hardly interact with any other people. The water was clear and shallow, and you could watch schools of fish swim past you in the water. Some folks were out 100 yards in... More
