I really don't want to review this because i don't want thousands flocking to St. George island. Since the 70's, this is one place local Floridians could go without all the tourists. I guess the secrets out. I have been to the Bahamas, Hawaii and most points in between. There is no prettier beach than St. George Island. The park... More

We rode our bikes on to the state park, $2 admission per person. Even though it was Sunday the traffic on the park was minimal so riding bikes was easy. Road nice and flat, of course it is Florida. There were several places to access the beach 2 of which had bathroom facilities and showers as drinking water and soda... More

We spent a couple of days on this great beach. For the beach comber, there are miles of white sandy beaches, with shells. The sand dunes frame the beach and provide a home to turtles and other animals. For the fisherman, the waters offer lots of action. Everyone who was fishing from the shore seemed to get a hit from... This is literally one of the most beautiful locations in the whole world!!! There are places to stop all along the road with restroom and picnic shelters. The beach is pristine, and lots of great fishing and shelling is to be had. We had a pass to go the extra 4 miles at to the end but it rained terribly... More

This being our first visit to St George Island, i wasnt sure what to expect, especially with all the bustle around the bridge. I happened to turn left at the main road, and was rewarded with this jewel of a state park. The park staff were friendly and patiently answered my many questions. I was politely told where the fish... More

This is our first trip to St George's Island. We RV camped at the park. The beach has white sand and clear water. There was hardly anyone on the beach. There are several bath houses and pavilions. I'm not a great swimmer but enjoyed snorkeling. The water is shallow and calm. We saw many starfish and sand dollars. My kids,... More

Don't hesitate! Just go! You will love it. You will see lots of dolphins...bring your kayak or paddle board! The surf is easy and gentle...wade out and you will easily find hermit crabs!
