The beaches are endless with white sand and warm water. A large portion of the island is A Florida State Park. We stayed with our Rv in the park at a site with electricity and water. If you tent, 2 large buildings have clean restrooms and showers. Ice and firewood can be purchased from one of the two campground hosts.... More

We vacation on St George every year (in the Plantation) but always make a trip to the State Park for the quiet, solitude, and natural beauty. There is excellent shelling at the far east end of the island as well (you can find whole sand dollars there). Absolutely gorgeous and unspoiled, and sometimes you will have the beach to yourself.

We spent 1/2 day just enjoying the dolphins feeding and playing with the others in the pod. The park is very clean and good fishing from the shore, is well patrolled and will help you find any parts of the park that you want to explore. Super great park

One of my favorite campgrounds to go to. St. George Island has all the essentials and nothing more (one local grocery store, a place to rent kayaks (better then the ones the park has), a sub shop, and ice cream shop, a pizza shop, and a couple bars). The beach is pristine, gorgeous, and quiet. The campground is well maintained.... More

I am reviewing the beach, though I've stayed at the campground which is fine but has very hot bathrooms! The beach has several public entrances. Two have bathroom pavilions and outdoor showers, picnic areas, and nice walkways. The beaches are full of shells, especially if you walk away from the last pavilion toward Dog Island. The water is less like... More

St George Island state park is a remote quiet very peaceful place. The beaches are white sand completely undeveloped (thank God) and obviously very private and peaceful. The campground is about 10 miles into the park, is very well maintained. Showers, are nice and clean as well as the bathrooms. This is not the place for you If you need... More

Lots of white sand beaches that are wayy less crowded than the public beaches just down the island. My family and I visited twice and loved to beach walk and shell there. If you can easily bring your beach equipment I would definitely recommend bringing a lunch and making a day trip out of it.

We love St. George State Park. It's very inexpensive as are all our state parks, layed bard back, relaxing and family oriented. It is a great place for family reunions. Luckily, there three pavilion areas with bathrooms. We like to go there as a family and usually meet friends there to hike, fish, lay out, bike, swim, snorkle, look for... More
