Great uncrowded beachs.

Went with family, it has great facilities, low crowds. We road bikes to the end of the island, but would recommend Mt. Bikes for sure, and somewhat experienced riders. The road... read more

Went with family, it has great facilities, low crowds. We road bikes to the end of the island, but would recommend Mt. Bikes for sure, and somewhat experienced riders. The road to the end of where automobiles are allowed (about half the island) is very nice. The other half of the island that is accessible by hiking or bikes, I... More

Nothing bad to say, all wonderful! My husband, a disabled veteran, got his lifetime pass and was shown so much gratitude and respect by the staff at the front gate. It's so beautiful, pristine old Florida at its best!

I've been going to the St. George Island state park since I was a child and it is still as beautiful as always.

We visited in the afternoon. The beaches are uncrowned and the sand is very fine , like sugar, and blindingly white. There was hundreds of feet between us and others on the beach. Very relaxing!

State park is very nice, good shells, beaches are so desolate, we walked for miles and miles, never seen another person.

Here is old Florida barrier island, preserved. Clean with good facilities, but not so much as to detract from the pristine nature here. Excellent!

If you have never seen a real, old Florida beach, go here. Big Dunes. Long stretches with few people and defintely no condos. Monarch butterflies and birds stop here first after crossing the Gulf of Mexico. Well worth the admission.

this is a must trip over the awesome bridge to the island. The lighthouse is super neat, and there are shops to shop at and restaurants. Super clear beaches and white sand for miles. There are also condos, and other places to stay. makes a super vacation stop for familes or anyone

If you come in the winter months hoping to find summer-like weather, you could be really disappointed. Winters here can be really cold and windy, or mild and sunny. The water is too cold to swim in during the winter also.
