This is the place to start your tour of Old St. Augustine. There is a huge parking garage next to the visitor center, costs about $10 but is definitely worth it since parking is hard to come by in the old part of town. The staff is extremely helpful in answering any questions you have about the area, and it... More

Today, March 11th is my fathers birthday. One of the things he wanted was a 450th anniversary silver coin. I went by one of the places that was selling them but they were out. Someone told me to try the visitors center. Once I got there both men at the desk were helping give directions to some tourist which I... More

#1 complaint about St. Augustine,Parking, We don't even have any illegal parking!!! The City has a wonderful parking garage and it is next to the visitors center in the heart of downtown. If you are visiting and need to park for the day or week use this facility. Safe, secured, covered, convenient to all visitors and local patrons to down... More

I always park here at the 3 tier structure for safe location, and the center has clean public restrooms. Near St George St shopping, you can relax and not have to run back to put coins in the metered parking on the street. The visitors center has pamphlet/brochures for every possible tourist destination. There is also a children's outdoor play... More

When driving into St. Augustine, there are misleading signs related to visitor information. These are businesses trying to get you to stop for a tour or other service. If you press on, you arrive at the official visitor's center with covered parking. Strangely, it didn't have much information posted on the historical town. Yet, an employee was helpful with providing... More

A decent place adjacent to public parking, you can get good information about St. Augustine here, nice little gift shop. Neat, not boring exhibits.

Well, going to this Visitors' Center was an odd experience. I went there to get information about upcoming new year's eve celebrations in St. Augustine. The staff person did not have any information about what happens on new year's eve "...but, we are partnering with a company called Map Destination" and " would you like a $100 voucher for a... excellent... well enjoyed. They had a good arrangement. It was different from most visitors centers. got caught up in enjoying the art exhibit so didn't really explore the other part of the regular visitors center. Well worth a look-see

Walking through the grounds of the St Augustine Visitor's Center we came across this fountain with masks. Don't know how a Picasso Exhibit got into the caption, presumably it's being held at the center. The masks decorating the fountain was a gift to the city from its sister city, Aviles in Spain. Aviles was the city in which the founder... More
