Anastasia State Park includes 1,600 acres of rich ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Explore up to four miles of pristine beach, the estuarine tidal marsh teeming with plant and animal life, or the self-guided nature trail which takes you through the maritime hammock and onto ancient sand dunes. You can also visit the Coquina Quarry, an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to help construct the nearby Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. At Anastasia, there are many recreational activities to enjoy including hiking, swimming, beachcombing, bird watching, and much more. The campground contains 139 campsites all located within the beautiful maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach. Anastasia has concessions to provide guests with rental opportunities of bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks, sail boats and canoes. There is also a grill area and a small gift shop for visitors to take home an Anastasia memory. The grill location also provides Wi-Fi for visitors' use.

If you are in the St Augustine area you MUST stop and spend some time at this beach. Very quiet, uncrowded and very clean. Costs $8 to enter for the day. Plenty of parking, bathrooms, and nice little snack bar (serves alcohol) and store (includes camping needs). There is a boardwalk to the beach access with views of the Lighthouse... More

We always stay here when in the area. Remember it is a beach area so sand will be everywhere. Almost all of the sites are very private.

We went for the morning as we had heard they had rental kayaks. They do and the price was reasonable as well. We rented a 2 seater for a couple of hours which was quite reasonable at $30. The highlight was having a couple of Dolphins swimming close by which was a great experience. The beach is also very good... More

The beach was nice with some shells. The wet and had a bit more of a muddy feel to it. Great campsites are available. If you don't want to pay for day use you can still visit the Coquina Quarries at the entrance to the park for a beautiful, short hike.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Anastasia State Park in our camper. Our site was well shaded and we saw many Cardinals and Woodpeckers. However, there was the largest amount of spiders I have ever camped with. The bathrooms were clean but were pretty far from most of the sites. The beach was great! There is more than... More

If you love the ocean as much as I do, you will love this park! The food stand and concession store are great. The camping sites are extremely clean as are the bathroom facilities. If you aren't looking for this park, you will drive right by. There's fishing, canoeing, shelling and many other activities to do. I can't wait for... More

The weather was nice. Traffic in the park was light to mild. The campground had about 2/3 occupancy. The grounds were very nicely maintained. The facilities were nicely constructed and well kept. The natural beauty of the park was evident. There were several types of recreational activities available to keep everyone entertained. The campground sites were spectacular.

What's great park! Clean, quite, with lots of shade. Most of the sites are small in length. However, some are wide enough to also pitch a tent with an RV. Bring blocks to level your site. The ground is very sandy. Water and electricity at each site. Must dump at a station. Bring a bike if you don't like to... More

I have been to the campground three times with family, and it is an oasis just next to the fun tourist attractions of Historic ST Augustine. Bathrooms are well maintained and the campsites roomy and well kept. My favorite state park, and we have been to many. lol
