Anastasia State Park includes 1,600 acres of rich ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Explore up to four miles of pristine beach, the estuarine tidal marsh teeming with plant and animal life, or the self-guided nature trail which takes you through the maritime hammock and onto ancient sand dunes. You can also visit the Coquina Quarry, an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to help construct the nearby Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. At Anastasia, there are many recreational activities to enjoy including hiking, swimming, beachcombing, bird watching, and much more. The campground contains 139 campsites all located within the beautiful maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach. Anastasia has concessions to provide guests with rental opportunities of bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks, sail boats and canoes. There is also a grill area and a small gift shop for visitors to take home an Anastasia memory. The grill location also provides Wi-Fi for visitors' use.

We love this park!

As far as state parks go in central Florida this is our favorite. It is well maintained and on the beach, and love Island Joe's, it's a great little snack bar.

This park is wonderful for exploring and has its own bit of private beach. Lots of wildlife and dunes/island to walk around and explore. Great views of the lighthouse. The little snack shack has the BEST fish tacos in Saint Augustine beach, a local legend. Well worth a visit to this wonderful little preserve.

Beautiful park, clean campground not too crowded. Campsites are not as private as some people are saying. There is plenty of shade on every site but most sites are very close to each other. About 10 are what I would call private. Sites 8, 21, and 22 were private but small. A large tent is a tight sqeeze. Its still... More

One afternoon we went to Anastasia State Park - had our bicycles on the truck. Parked and rode our bikes around the park. Gorgeous beach to walk on and trails. Also stopped at the snack bar and grabbed a hot dog and french fries. Very good food and great value. They also have nice areas for tent camping, as well... More

We stayed in campsite 49 on June of 2015. I must say that for the six of us and a tent the site was very cramped. Upon driving around, we also found that our campsite was the only one without shade. If you do not want to be sweating in a hundred degree weather, I do not recommend this site.... More

My Grandchildren and my wife and I spent 2 days tent camping. The restrooms were very very clean! Ocean and Beach were very nice and had life guards. Very nice visit and campsite was half off with Fla. senior pass.

We really enjoyed this campground, I can understand the other reviews who say the campground is claustrophobic because you are close however there were sooo many trees and foliage you really don't see your neighbors. Facilities were clean and we saw no fire ants to deal with. Beach is a bit far for walking with young children so we ended... More

You can see turtles, shells, Dolphins (sometimes). Great beach for walking . There are restrooms, outdoor showers, and lots of parking. There is an entrance fee bc it is a state park, however, if you live in Florida I recommend buying the yearly pass. It gives you access for the year to all fl state parks., which is a great... More

My family and I loved this beach. Because it's a state park there is a fee, but do not let that detour you. It is $8 a car. But you have all day access. There are picnic areas where you can grill out. The beach is not over crowded. The beach itself is wonderful for children. Many shells to collect.... More

We paid $8 to get into the park. Beach access was great. Lots of people. Plenty of parking available. Had a place to rent paddle-boards and fish.
