Beautiful peaceful beach with lots of birds and dolphins. Very few people. The weather was not great - very misty and foggy but still so pretty. We walked at least 3 miles along the beach and back. Saw only 5-6 people but lots of egrets, pelicans and some dolphin. The beaches are white with powdery sand and lots of shells.... More

Its a state park, so the beaches are very clean. The tides can be rough so they fly flags indicating the conditions

Convenient. Small snack bar, outdoor showers, and restrooms available. Although only one working shower with very little pressure, I was still thankful to be able to rinse off before getting in car. The sand was beautiful. The small crowds were pleasant. Parking was easy and just along side the beach. Paid 8.00 for one car. Park also had camp grounds.... More

It was great to know that there is a part of the beach that animals are not allowed. Our autistic daughter is very fearful of dogs, so this allowed us a rare opportunity to be on the beach without anxiety! My son and I rented a kayak from the water sports area. Great experience, lovely owner and affordable rates. Highly... More

We go several times a month to Anastasia State park as it is a beautiful place. Being avid kayakers, we launch from the state park and paddle to a little beach close to the entrance to the ocean. Salt run is a very scenic paddle, round trip it is about 6 miles to the little beach. As for the campsites,... More

Very nice facilities and great views! Though it's a short walk from the parking area to the beach, it's a much safer beach when there are little ones that one must keep an eye on. Beach traffic on St. Augustine beaches (ex. Dondaville Rd. ramp is too dangerous when there are children all over and no one watching over them.)

This lovely state park contains a beautiful beach that is easy to walk on and where you can admire the many shore birds feeding and dancing in the surf. Accommodations are campsites and if that is not for you then its a super day trip. There is a store and snack shack with picnic tables at the south end of... More

We really enjoyed the short trip over to Anastasia State Park from our St. Augustine motel. The $8 fee is reasonable and an easy way to show your support of state parks, even those that may not be your own state parks. The beach was gorgeous and easily accessed with good parking. A small snack shop in the area will... More

Loved the camping at this State Park. Close to the beach. Highly recommend renting a kayak. We were able to see dolphins up close and had an awesome trip.
