My friends and I camped here for 2 nights in August. The park was very nice and they had a small gift shop/ restaurant and a watersport rental place in the park, which was convenient. The beach was also great, though it started getting pretty crowded in the afternoon. We had a campsite right next to the bathroom facility which... More

Spent a few nights camping here with friends. Beach is beautiful, campground is clean and well maintained. Close enough to the action to listen to the live concerts at the Ampatheater to enjoy without being overwhelmed. You may want to check their schedule if there's certain music you don't want to listen to, because you really don't get a choice.... More

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. It is wide and not very crowded even in the middle of summer. There are showers and facilities at the parking lot. It is a bit of a walk over the dunes, but the view and the beach are worth it.

Beautiful beach; not too rough surf. Long hike down the boardwalk but there is driving access. Went on a weekday afternoon and there were not many people - most were down near the car access area.

Great park for bike riding! The camping area is woodsy and so you have a tree canopy over your site. A little hard to navigate for large RV's or campers. The facilities are clean enough but no AC in the summer so they are a bit warm for showering because you'll be sweating by the time you are done.

This is our first trip to the St. Augustine area and since we love to camp near beaches, thought we'd check out this park. First, we drove through the campground, some of the sites were great, and fairly private and others not so much. I was surprised at the number of tent campers in the heat of August....go them!! I... I went there several times to go stand up paddle boarding. The Salt Run is the perfect place to learn how to paddle board because it is usually wave less. The wild life is breathe taking and there are always fish jumping and if you get lucky you will also see dolphins playing!! I felt like $8 to get in... More

$8 per car gets you in to Anastasia, which is well worth it. The beach is huge - and since you pay admission, this seems to keep the crowds down somewhat compared to other free beaches in the area. In addition to it not being overcrowded, there are restrooms, a pavilion w/ grills, and a snack bar on site (as... More
