Anastasia State Park includes 1,600 acres of rich ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Explore up to four miles of pristine beach, the estuarine tidal marsh teeming with plant and animal life, or the self-guided nature trail which takes you through the maritime hammock and onto ancient sand dunes. You can also visit the Coquina Quarry, an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to help construct the nearby Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places.

At Anastasia, there are many recreational activities to enjoy including hiking, swimming, beachcombing, bird watching, and much more. The campground contains 139 campsites all located within the beautiful maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach.

Anastasia has concessions to provide guests with rental opportunities of bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks, sail boats and canoes. There is also a grill area and a small gift shop for visitors to take home an Anastasia memory. The grill location also provides Wi-Fi for visitors' use.

After visiting the fort in St augustine and learning that it was built of coquina, we decided to make a stop at the quarry where it was found. If you drive into the entrance of the state park, right at the entrance on the right is a small parking area with a sign about the quarry. There is a short... More

I'd say pass on this place, not much of anything, except some campsites and beach access.. The entry fee is $8. which is a complete rip off. Save your money and go else where. There are plenty of beaches along A1A. BTW the fee to see the light house which is about a mile outside of the park is $13.

We camp here each January and really like the spacious campsites and walking along the gorgeous beach. You won't be disappointed if you visit. Try it!

We traveled through the park looking at the amenities and camping areas. There are a lot including some especially for wheelchair visitors which I thought was especially nice. Not something you see all the time in parks.

We visited in January 2016, as the blizzard was moving into the northeast United States. It was quite cold at Anastasia though far away from the northeast. With that said, we spent several hours on the beach and in the park. We had brought sandwiches from a local sandwich shop in St. Augustine and we parked at the "windsurfer" pool... More

We have camped at Anastasia State Park numerous times. The beach is gorgeous. Sand dunes with sea oats, driftwood, shells, various types of shore birds, white sand, waves, surfers and swimming. It is agree at place to relax or walk. There is nice boardwalk that goes along the dunes with views of the lighthouse. There is a playground by the... More

On a cold and very windy day in January, we bundled up and headed to see Anastasia state park beach. We were not disappointed! It's a beautiful beach and there are sand dunes here which we don't have in the Tampa Bay area beaches, so that was cool to see too. We walked the very uncrowded beach (on this day).... More

The beach is gorgeous, the campsites are private, the restrooms are clean, and the park is super conveniently located. Just a few hundred feet from the St. Augustine lighthouse, and a short 3-mile bike ride (sidewalks the whole way) to downtown St. Augustine. Perfect place to setup as basecamp for a St. Augustine adventure.
