Came to Florida for a getaway and came here on a whim- glad we did! Close to lots of things to do. The nature trail through the old sand dunes was nice and the beach was great- wish it had been warmer but we did come in February. The bathrooms were so clean! Park rangers were all super nice.

We stayed in this park for seven nights in January. Entry is well laid out and easy to find. Rangers were friendly and check-in was rapid. Access to the ocean and the long beach was very good and we, along with many other campers, rode our bikes a good deal of the time. The sites are not all level and... More

If you love natural splendor and a little isolation from the rest of the world, then plan a relaxing stop at Anastasia State Park. An easy hop from St. Augustine the four miles of untouched coastline mean privacy between the surf and the dunes. A few short trails through hammocks offer reprieve from the beach sun and a little lesson... More

Unfortunately this february was extremely cold and windy, however there are so many beaches to visit, the island is long and there are places for every taste. I'm planing to go again in July or August next year.

We picked the perfect day to go to the beach and Anastasia Island beach was our perfect pick. Pristine white sand and miles of beach front to walk, it made for a wonderful day of lazily strolling the beaches and collectng shells.

This park is a real, beauty, especially in winter when people are scarce. The walking is pleasant and seabirds abound. Parking is close by along with a small snack bar and restrooms. The best park is the natural unspoiled beauty - no hotels, houses or amusements- just sand dunes and surf. Not a lot of places like this in Florida.

They have everything here, ocean, lakes, fishing, relaxation. Make plans early they are full all the time. Pet friendly but have leashes. Close to everything.

Reviewed this a couple of years ago but did not have a chance to really walk the park due to rains. This time walked the beach and couple of nature trails. A great place to escape the crowds for a couple of hours. The beach was deserted (it was February) but a great place to walk. Views of the bay... More

We went to this park to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown St Augustine. We drove into the park (just after the lighthouse) and, after an $8 entrance fee, drove into quiet. As if posing for us a giant white egret, great blue heron, and snowy egret all posed together in a bog next to the campground... More

This gorgeous park is such a contrast to what has been done to the St. Augustine Old City. Wide, pristine beach and beautiful nature trails, unspoiled by commercialization...we would make the 7+ hour drive again just to visit this park!
