We rented these old school big tired bicycles and rode them on the beach. Big huge fun. The tide was low so there was about 100 feet of hard packed shore line to ride on. Surprisingly fast track. We rode all the way to the rip rap breaker going north and then down to the big white hotel and back.... More

We went to the park around 9am. It was lovely. The beach was clean and the sand soft and white. It was relaxing and quiet. The facilities were clean. We had a blast. Totally recommend!!!

Great beaches at Anastasia State Park. Some surf but the water and sand are both super clean and the beaches aren't packed. We have a lot of fun here!

The beach is huge! Good for Seashell hunting! I arrived at the same time that the storm did today. I waited it out for about an hour just to stroll along up and down the beach. Very peaceful!

During our trip to St. Augustine we went to Anastasia State Park for one thing, to rent kayaks! Anastasia Watersports runs the rental business on the salt run. We went on a Sunday morning and they were quick to get us set up with 2 double kayaks for an hour. They provided the kayaks, paddles, lifejackets and a dry bag... More

Tried out the kayaking through Anastasia Watersports (904)460-9111 located in Anastasia State Park. Easy to reserve your watercraft of choice, reasonable rates and very friendly staff. The Salt Run is a lovely area where you can see manatee, flying fish, herons, egrets, etc. We were renting the kayaks and had a great 2 hour paddle, going from one end to... More

Best beach experience at St. Augustine! After visiting many other beaches while in St. Augustine this was the one my teenage son wanted to go back to every day! Very clean, wide beach. Lots of shells, fun surf and not too busy. Easy beach access, clean changing rooms and restrooms. Terrific snack shack and covered eating area. They even had... More

Our visit in Mid July - outside the entrance you can walk over to see the mine where they use to dig up the Coquina to build walls and forts. This was about a 100 yard walk through a nice patch of greenery. Very relaxing. The entrance to the park cost us $8 and inside there was little to do... More

To be fair, we went to Anatasia State Park late in the day (about 5:30pm) primarily to go to the beach. We passed the campgrounds on the way but did not stop so can't speak to the amenities. We paid 1/2 price for parking ($4) because it was so late. The parking lot is a good 1/4 mile from the... More

I never miss a trip to this state park when I'm in St. Aug. I've seen gopher tortoises, all kinds of birds, raccoons, and an occasional snake. The beach itself has lots of dunes where sea turtles nest, but if you're mainly interested in a great typical beach experience with the family, you can get that, too. They have nice... More
