There's a lot of things one can do at this park from camping, a day lunch or some kayaking and paddle boarding at different locations in the park. It's worth the visit for tourist and resident alike. The day we went was geared towards a walk on the beach. The beach goes for quite a stretch which provides for a... More

We camped here 2 nights. I felt we could have enjoyed a week here. There isn't much in the way of hiking, which I like.Outside of the park, the traffic was a bit of a pain. But, the beach there is wide and gorgeous, I saw lots of people riding bicycles and with canoes - you're right by the intercoastal... More

The beach is way cool but the parking lot get hot in the summer plus you can't drive your car or truck on this beach. There are some picnic tables and grills just before you get to the beach parking area in the shade that are cool. Also there is an area before the picnic tables and bathrooms that rents... More

We just booked our trip in March so we luckily got a site at this lovely state park (likely due to cancellation as they are usually booked solid and you can book 11 months in advance). The site was lovely...private, clean and scenic. Washrooms were basic but water was hot and had good pressure. The beach is just outstanding....miles and... More

Lovely experience on a clean private stretch of sand. The kids enjoyed the long board walk and had fun running the long open beaches. Beautiful facilities to roast marshmallows on near the road. Excellent location.

Be sure to spend a day at the park. The admission cost is low. The beaches are beautiful and there is a food facility.

Camped here for spring break. I love this park! Quiet and beautiful even though it is just a bike ride into the city. campsites are kind of close together, but lots of shade and quiet. Bathrooms could use a re-do. Plenty of secluded beach to get away.

For eight dollars a car you can enter the park. We went for a day trip and sat and walked the beach for the most part. The shell collecting is very good to excellent. We also found several pieces of sea glass. The beach is wide and very clean. At the beach there is a snack bar. We did not... More

We came for a trail and to have a picknick lunch in a beautiful setting. We loved it, the trail was great and so was the picknick, looking out over the water and diving pelicans. WOW!! Would definitely visit again!!
