This is one of the best state parks in Florida. The entrance is on A1A just past the lighthouse. There is a fee but very reasonable. A short drive leads to picnic areas, beach and camping. In summer and most weekends there is a hut to rent wind sails. At the end of the drive where the beach can be... More

We wanted a place to camp that was near St. Augustine. The park is a 10-minute drive from the historic district. That close proximity to an attractive city makes it unusual for a state park. We went in early December, and there were no mosquitoes, which makes it unusual for a Florida State Park (however, the ranger assured us the... More

The Anastasia State Park is very peaceful, tranquil and quiet. I enjoyed the picnic area as well as the concession stands. It was a very clean beach and you could tell that the people really cared about the area.

This is a few miles south of St Augustine. It is Free and the boat ride to it is free, but not much to see there.

Nice amenities but the campsites are very close together. Our site even smelled like urine and was almost on top of the adjacent sites. The bathroom facilities are very nice and clean. Down side, no pets on the beach and the trash disposal location is located out of the camping area :( Otherwise, decent place to stay although a little... More

Great little outside retreat to catch sunsets from! That alone got my attention! Very clean park! Nice area to walk in and take pictures of the water and greenery!

the park has nice camping areas, a small cafe, and a very nice boat launch for kayaks and paddleboards, etc. as well as a small rental business if you do not have your own. The beach launch is into a very protected Salt Run which is good for beginners and for dolphin & bird sighting!

The campground has good amenities and I saw my first armadillo here! It's an interesting juxtaposition of jungle-like campground which quickly changes to a beach setting, so you can experience the best of both worlds. I recommend having a BBQ with the family. There is a snack bar, which I've never actually seen being open, but I imagine that it... More
