San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 300 so far with more to come each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. Open on weekends, featuring incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine and light appetizers.

We did this tour on a Sunday, so it was totally self-guiding with stations where they poured samples of their wines. We tasted eight different varieties, some of which were very good. This would probably be more fun during the week where you actually get a guided tour of the winery. However, it is free so i can't complain. There... More

this is basically a store front for a mass production facility somewhere else. The "tour" is a cheesy movie in a small room and look at a few stainless steel tanks that are not in use. The tasting room is dark and not inviting. Were able to sample a good selection of their wines - nothing of interest to us.... More

Out lady tour guide … sorry I forgot her name … was excellent. She described the processes involved in wine manufacture and conducted a perfect wine tasting segment. This was my first tasting experience and it could not have been better. She answered all questions and took time to explain the tasting methods. I certainly learned a lot. The wines... More

My husband and I went on the tour and did the wine tasting which was great because we found some varieties we liked and some we didn't. The gift shop offered the wine that we did like in a beautiful commemorative bottle of the St Augustine Lighthouse which we purchase several to bring home as gifts for relatives. The proceeds... Stopped here on the trolly tour after an excellent visit on the stop before at the St Augustine distillery. We were excited to do another tasting tour. Well we couldn't have been more disappointed. Our tour guide was rather obnoxious and couldn't really be bothered, he seemed more interested in drinking the product he was supposed to be explaining about.... More

While spending four days in St Augustine we stopped at the winery and took the tour and did the wine tasting! So glad we did. My husband and I haven't been able to find a red wine we like until now! Love their Red Vintners Wine. Bought one of their St Augustine Lighthouse bottles of it to bring home. Can... More

We went on the tour with our guide Nevio. Excellent explanation of what is happening at the winery. Tasting room experience has Nevio explaining each wine that is being tasted. Better than most wineries who just serve what you ask for. Don't miss this tour if you enjoy wine!!!

Tour and taste some of Florida's best local wines. Make sure to end tasting with an excellent rooftop snack or sandwich, relax and enjoy the view as well as live music. A great St Augustine experience!!! If you love walking, just blocks from downtown.

This tour was good and bad. It was a very large group, 37 of us i believe. We first start off watching an out dated video on how the company came to be and where the grapes come. The group was so large we had to stand in the room because all the seats were filled. You could tell the... More

The Winery is a stop on the trolley tour, so it is very easy to get to. So make sure you stop. The tour is well presented. It starts with a video that provides excellent background. Then a stop in the working area of the winery. You finish with a wine tasting presentation. This was very well done, with several... More
