Description: San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St...
San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 300 so far with more to come each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. Open on weekends, featuring incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine and light appetizers.

Great wine

The tour was short but free(so you can't really complain.) I loved the variety of wines we were able to sample. Left with two bottles. Cheers! 🍷

The people are absolutely the friendliest. They love their job and they love having you there. The mission of this winery is to educate newcomers, so there is nothing stuffy about this place, and all the tastings are free! The wine (Muscadine Wine) is fair, there are a couple of very good ones, but if you like sweet wines this... More

Nice place to eat, look around and sample wine. The roof top terrace had live music playing, but we ate inside in the cool. The food was well presented and we all thought it was good value.

While I did enjoy my visit to San Sebastian, it was not as great as my first visit. On the first visit, we toured the processes that go on behind the scenes and had a tour guide. At the end, we were able to hear about several wines and taste them. On this visit, we went to several places in... More

This is a really cool winery. Tours are nice and wine is great. Their gift shop is full of nice wine gadgets and delicious wines. Very Knowledgeable employees.

Always love to visit this place and test out some of the wine. We always buy a few bottles to take home. Just wished you could visit the vinyards but they don't even have them there. Only a place to buy your wine really.

The reviews were awesome so we thought it would be a great tour. Really felt like herding cattle through a few stations to have a couple sips of wine. The people giving the tasted were not knowledgeable. No water or palette cleansers. Wine was OK and reasonably priced. Cute shop; expensive though. Sorry, wouldn't recommend the winery. However they had... More

The video was interesting, followed by an uninteresting tour. There was no activity going on, and after the lively St. Augustine Distillery tour this one was a bit of a let down. The wine tasting was interesting- lots of good hints on how to judge wines.

The tour and tasting were great. The staff was knowledgeable and the wines were exquisite and delicious. The port and the Vintner's Red were our favorite.

At first husband & I didn't have much time & just wanted to do tasting. We were advised due to the amount of visitors all tastings were at the end of the tour. We agreed & I am glad we did. While we have toured many wineries, we still learned new things at San Sebastian. Our tour guide was wonderful... More
