Stopped here mainly for my wife since she is in the healthcare field. The tour guides are all very knowledgeable and dress in period clothes. Multiple interesting facts offered about the development of modern day medicine and there are even hands on opportunities to touch and examine medical instruments from the 1800s. Being the son of a nurse and married... More

Our guided tour was cut short due to some mix up with scheduling a school group visit so we didn't get as much out of it as we should have, but it is very interesting.

Even though this is a small military hospital, it is worth the tour. We had a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and made us feel very grateful that we didn't have to have medical care in colonial times. And even though the tour is short much can be learned. It is definitely worth the visit.

A guided tour through a historic site. It takes about an hour and you learn a lot about a period in the early history of our country.Definitely worth the cheap price of the ticket.

This was a small, short guided tour and a fascinating glimpse into history. Well worth the small fee to visit and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable. Loved that we were able to bring our dogs with!

We did not know what to expect when we came here but a local told us to visit this place if we wanted to see something different. My husband and I were given a tour guide of different rooms in the hospital explaining how they treated the soldiers in detail. We also enjoyed learning how they made medicine from plants... More

Great pace to visit with family! My kids were fascinated by what was done back in those days and how little was known about how the body worked. It didn't take much time out of our day, and the tour was very informative.

First of all, they are pet friendly here, and welcomed my dog with enthusiasm and a treat! My guide was very knowledgeable and welcomed questions. The tour includes two small outer rooms you see from the entrance and two larger rooms and a small garden. It's small, but you're given a lot of information considering the size. They welcome you... It was very interesting to learn of the role this hospital played in both military and medical history. It is worth a visit when you are out and about on Aviles Street.
