We did the jail 2 ways one as ghost tour and as regular tour, both were interesting and well done. This is a cant miss. So much history and the tour folks do a good job of giving a feel of being in jail. You don't just walk by things you go right in.There are some things around town you... More

Our guide, Fitz, was so humorous and did a great job keeping us entertained. She made the tour very special. The tour takes about 45 minutes and is very informative. The jail is in a small little touristy village with other museums and a gift shop with snacks. All 3 kids had a good time. Well worth the money

We toured this with the Old Town trolley tours package deal. The tour guide was very good. He was dressed in a "jailor" suit and talked and acted like he was from that period of time and in that jail. He gave us very interesting facts about life in the jail. Told us about the women in the jail, and... More

St Augustine have done a great job maximizing everything they have to make it an interesting tourism destination. The old jail has been reworked and put on the circuit and does a good job of rebelling some of the worst parts of Florida criminal history. Re-enactors take you through the history, the jail inmate procedures and the executions over the... More

We visited this as a part of our Old Town Trolley tour package. There are actors who give you the history of the jail and the law at the time. They play the role of a prisoner very well. There are some stairs to climb if you want to see the second level of the jail (which isn't necessary). Otherwise... More

Maybe not the largets attraction in St. Augustine but certainly entertaining and worth the visit, history abounds and the deputy leading the tour was informative and fun especially if you enjoy the macabre. ..Enjoyed it

Creepy yet beautiful. Informative tour. You wouldn't want to be an inmate at this jail !! Interesting contrast from the jail to the adjoining living quarters of the jailer and his family...
