Although we go to St. Augustine often, we had never taken this tour at the Old Jail and very glad we finally did! The tour guide takes you through the jail built by Henry Flagler in the late 1800's. Our guide was Deputy Clyde, he was funny, informative and kept things moving but took into consideration the wide variety of... More

The Old Jail tour was fun and we enjoyed the knowledge and humor of the "Sheriff" who conducted our tour.

The year....1908. We were guided by a cast member ("Buckey") acting as a jail trustee showing us the ropes. Very informative & friendly. Truly enjoyed our tour. Another cast member brought us all ponchos as it was raining outside at the end of our tour. Very thoughtful of her. A lot of old guns you can look at used in... More

This place was fun, Jenny our "trustee" was interesting and knowledgeable. A fun history lesson, and you get a good feel for what it would have been like back in the day to stay at the Jail. I don't know about the other tour guides, but she was a delight. Everyone is walking around in prisoner garb or some other... More

Your tour starts with a guide in front of the jail. they describe the history of the area and what life was like way back when. Then they take you into the building. It is cramped the cells on the first floor are dark and small and spooky. It was a fun activity for the kids, the guide was informative.... More

This was a fun tour. I did this again because when I was in 4th grade had seen it and wanted to do it again. Enjoyed the tour and the old stories if the jail and how the prisoners and staff lived.
