Attended a wedding at this church and the whole church was under construction. They never told the bride they were going to have scaffolds all over the place. Seems very inconsiderate to do this to someone.

Beautiful church. Well maintained. Even if you are not Catholic you will enjoy the architecture, the calm, the quiet. You can stop in before or after your visit to historic St. George Street.

Good pastor, good mass and beautiful parish, even under renovation. Be sure to look at the ceiling and the chapel. The sun dial outside is with a look and the stained glass is very nice. The pastor is a hoot, great homily and a friendly celebrant.

During a renovation of the cathedral, it still remained open for parishoners and visitors. Although there was scaffolding all around, it was quiet and peaceful. The main altar is awesome! The Miraculous Mary chapel was inspiring! As they entered, people immediately stopped talking to embrace the reverance of the church.

This Cathedral is the first and oldest in the "New World" -- the interiors are beautiful and the sounds of music here are exquisite. I have attended the annual St. Augustine Concerts in the summer as well as a large and magnificent wedding.

I had a docent-guided tour, which was informative and interesting. I liked the old art work and architecture. I didn't like that the restrooms are not accessible unless there is a mass in session. I think that they should be more amenable to tourists.

The church was under construction, but it was still fun to visit, the architecture is really interesting as it is not typical for a catholic church. It had prominent wooden beams.

This is a very charming town with a lot of character, which is part of the reason why this building is able to so perfectly fit in to its surroundings, making it even more special. As with many of the buildings in this town I would reccomend popping in here to appreciate the architecture.

Don't know many details but I do know this Cathedral is in the midst of some major interior renovations. Come into town and always stop in several times during my visit but this time I could only enter through a side entrance and only one small section was open for individual worship and the lighting of candles. Gift shop was... More
