Was in town for weekend, went to Sunday morning Mass - everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It was nice that during opening remarks they addressed the visitors with a very brief history of the church - helped give contact to our surroundings. Gift shop was also stocked with neat items and reasonably priced. People were exceedingly nice.

The mass was beautiful. Wish I could understand the priest better. He should speak clearer. Loved the organ.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful catherdral's Ive ever been in! The history of it and the decorations & statues are awesome! I'm not very religious but this is one church I wouldnt mind sitting in all day just to look at all the work and art in it.

The first Catholic church in the usa. A wonderful piece of history with masses daily...beautiful music and singing and definitely a feeling of Holy ground. open to visitors tours and to those wanting to go to mass or make a church visit.

It is a must see. Very interesting, it is built like a cross. Inspired when you walk in. They were doing some repairs, so hard to tell more about it.

A beautiful church inside and out. I wish I had been able to attend mass there. Hard to describe your feelings when you enter. I enjoyed it and would go back.

I love this church, it's beautiful to see the old style preserved, the stained glass windows & statues are amazing. Unfortunately, they are under construction right now so I'd wait until it's done to view.

Able to attend mass without driving. Building under renovation with scaffolding in the church. Much history.

Yes, the Basilica is currently being renovated - as old buildings need to be at times - but go anyway. It's the experience that counts. Amen.
