Even though the tide was too low for dolphins and water was too cold for manatees, we saw a wide range of birds, plants, and other life in the estuarine sanctuary. Most important, we learned a lot about the vital role these areas play in the food chain and how they are threatened. The unique location of this preserve at... More

Nice summary of the National Estuarine Research Reserve, aka GTM NERR. This system is unique and out our back door is the heart of this system, with tremendous biodiversity. As you learned we do not hunt, feed and/or entice the wildlife. Each kayak ecotour trip is different, but still a great time for all to enjoy with any level experience.... More

Our knowledgable and professional guide Danny led our group of 8 (4 kayaks) through a fantastic, enchanted misty evening in the National Estuarine Research Reserve. We've been on several guided kayaking tours but this was by far the most memorable. Truly a treasure. The highlights for us were the pod of dolphins, the osprey and enormous herons. And having complimentary... More

Professional, safe, and knowledgeable guides who allow nature to showcase this amazing outdoor adventure. Thank you for your review and encouragement. We take great care of both you the kayaker and the coastal ecology. Marineland Dolphin Adventure is available to visit across the street and observe the great care, conservation and educational opportunities for marine life. Enjoy, Eric More

What a spectacular way to spend a day... kayaking with Danny - an exceptional teacher, naturalist and steward of our precious estuaries. Several highlights of our tour included learning about and seeing different types of birds... ducks, egrets, herons, gulls, terns, pelicans, hawks, and eagles... as well as plants - red, white and black mangroves, grasses and sedges; and animals...... We agree and appreciate your comments. As you saw and know, when we conserve large areas of healthy habitats the wildlife can exist. We are grateful for the opportunity to share this wonderful and beautiful estuarine ecosystem with you. Wow - our tour of the Guana River was spectacular. Danny focused on safety and taught us all how to kayak in no time. He enabled us the "see nature" and we saw 2 bald eagles, their nest, various birds, etc. We went in an out of the marshes as he gave us an educational tour of the area during... More

One of the best highlights in my first trip to Florida!! Danny was the best - he was an exceptional teacher, great sense of humor and made my adventure a delight! Came back to central California with an even bigger appreciation for Mother Nature. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Can't wait to come back next year!

We wanted to kayak around St. Augustine and chose Ripple Effect Ecotours based on the numerous TA reviews. We would've been happy just to paddle around the estuary but our guide Brandon offered us so much more with stories and descriptions of the wildlife and environment. We thought it was going to be only an hour so, but ended up... More

Thank you for sharing your experience and appreciation for our team. The estuarine system here in the southern boundary of the National Estuarine Research Reserve and Matanzas Basin is amazing. We are all very fortunate, to include wildlife, that this area has been protected with tens of miles of continuous natural corridors for both habitats and watersheds. Happy Thanksgiving, Eric More
