This was an OK place to walk through, but it was a quick visit. We felt stuff was just placed in each house. Some of the houses you could only walk through a couple of rooms and some of the houses were completely closed to visitors. In addition, one of the houses has been converted to an art gallery that...

The Dow Museum of Historic Houses includes 9 buildings set around a one block area. Entrance to 7 buildings was allowed. The buildings are authentic and restored to their original state, but the furnishings represent items collected by Kenneth Dow. There are many lovely paintings and lots of furniture, but none original to the houses. Each house contains a description...

Although there are several houses the tour is not guided and doesn't have really good information posted or otherwise so it's hard to value what you see. Most of the furniture is not original and only portions of each house are available to see. The ground are nice to take some pretty pics but not too much going on here....

So many eras all in one place. It was amazing. In one house it was a couple hundred years ago, next house, the 1950s. And interesting tidbits about a wide variety of visitors to the city.

My husband and I stopped here on 3/27. The man who checked us in was very friendly. We walked through 9 different houses ranging in dates from 1790 - 1910. They are all still on the same spot they were when they were built. This block was one of the original "neighborhoods" of St. Augustine. Most of them are decorated...

I have been to St. Augustine more times than I can count but I never knew this museum was here until this last trip. It is neat to be able too walk through 7 very distinct houses and see how things changed from decade to decade. They even have a house on site where Napoleon's nephew lived for a time....

Enjoyed exploring the eight historic homes, galleries and courtyards and gardens. They have done a nice job of preserving these old homes. Very uneven walking areas and stairs.

We've been here twice and both times not dissapointed. The five period homes are for the most part accessible, some are still being renovated. The art, furniture, clothing is so comforting. The individual gardens are so relaxing we found overselves drifting off with the sound of the fountains. Again, not or small children.
