Jim, I love playing at the course and it's one of my favorites in the area but this review is regarding our telephone call earlier today, I had a simple question and you were not able to answer whether it’s a policy or based on a discretion. Instead, you became frustrated and hung up on me before I can get... More

Been playing in the Wednesday afternoon get together. The course is really coming into shape. Great mix of short risk & reward holes with some MONSTERS!!! Pay attention to where trouble is. Laying back an extra 10 yards sometimes gets you the widest part of the fairway. Enjoy

I had the misfortune of paying full price ($47.50) to golf at the Golf Club of South Hampton today. I had previously played this course in February and found it acceptable except for the slow pace of play, but the greens have deteriorated to the point where they are UNPLAYABLE. After 7 holes I called the Pro Shop to see... More

Our group has played here for 5 years in a row and sadly, for the money, this course is way overpriced. Every green is in aweful shape and at best, has maybe 50% grass coverage. For less money and superb greens, go next door to St. Johns golf course.

I liked the course layout and it's ease of play for all levels. The course was not in the best condition, especially the greens.

I like this course. The conditioning is usually very good and it's an interesting layout. I've played there many times.

Played South Hampton in mid September and course was in great condition. God greens, tidy tee boxes and nice surroundings. Can not disagree more with review by Gary D. Think someone just hada bad day that clouded judgement overall. The course cannot be labeled boring. Some nice holes. Played off back tees and some holes require good course management. Lots... More

Excellent layout with 5 tee areas. Lots of sand around the greens and the course shape was very good. Greens were a little hard and did not hold high lofted shots well. Rough was thick. Pace of play was excellent and the twilight rate was fair.

Our round took almost 6 hours to complete. The Ranger told us that there was an outing ahead of us and mentioned that we would likely not finish before dark. Of course, no refund was offered and there was no mention of an outing when we booked the tee time. We also had lunch at the clubhouse before our round.... More

Like the course, but plan on five hours, with lots of waiting at the tee box, as the pace of play is very slow. No active management by course advisors to move players along.
