We played the King & Bear on our Golfing Road Trip in November...on our way from Orlando to Sawgrass. What can I say?? I cannot rate this course highly enough. We played some great courses on this trip, but this was our favourite. The course was immaculate and the greens superb. Service second to none. Will defo be going back... More

A terrific golf course, beautiful layout, challenging and fair with fabulous greens. The combination of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus makes for a fabulous layout. Look forward to many return visits

Really a member course. Range is below standard, carts have no GPS or yardage on card. No diagram of holes. If you aren't a good player I can't envision this being a fun course. For good players, aim tee shots at barber poles - more room in fairways than you think. Lots of water, but it really doesn't come into... More

The course is in poor condition for a track that charges premium rates. The greens are spotty and marked up. The fairways are cut so close that there are few decent lies. In its defense, the course has had alot of rain dropped on it this summer, but it should be in much much better condition to justify the $129... More

Unfortunately my experience was not good at this premium course. We quit after nine after suffering 2hrs and 40minutes in the heat playing the front nine. There was no rangers insight. There was a "players assistant" who offered us a cold towel on hole 1, which we obviously did not need. We did not see him again until hole 9.... More

Of the two courses at the World Golf Village, King & Bear is the more expensive one, but not any nicer than Slammer & Squire. It's a few miles away from the hotel, but transportation is provided if needed. The course itself is gorgeous, but I didn't think it justified the $179/person green fee. Glad I had the chance to... We have played here in the past with much nicer conditions and friendlier staff, which is why we came back. This time the experience was just so so. I like golfing where they are glad to have me there. I didn't get that this time. For the cost of golf ($150) I don't think it was worth it. Nice course... More

What a nice surprise. I've played just about every course in the area. King and Bear is definitely in my top 5. The course is in great shape. It's very challenging so don't be afraid to scoot up one tee box to make it more enjoyable. We played in under four hours which is another positive. I'll be back.

The course was a nice layout and challenging, but very playable. It played very slow as we waited on 16 of 18 holes. They had rangers but did nothing to pickup the pace. The workers were friendly but not very helpful. I would not spend the extra money to play this course again, as the Slammer and Squire was better... More
