This is a gem of a place. The staff dress in period costumes and were very knowledgeable on the Spanish and Indians. Our guide Armando was funny and the kids loved him! We learned how to dip candles, play old games, dig for artifacts, a great all around good time. Plan on a couple of hours to enjoy the experience.

This was one of the places on our list to visit last year but we ran out of time. We purchased the tickets from the Red Train Station and was well worth it. My son who will be in 6th grade this year loved this place over all the ones we visited this year. He had many questions that he... More

The staff is extremely friendly, and they collectively create a positive and informative atmosphere for both the children and adults. Great for elementary age children since it is a hands on experience and they get to take home small souvenirs too.

For me and my family was such an enjoyable experience!!! We went as soon as they open, so it was practically empty so the Tour Guide had plenty of time to explain and let us stay on each station al long as we wanted. We finished it in 2 hrs. Arpox. Recommended!!!

Everything is very hands-on. Instead of "No don't touch that", you hear "YES, pick it up, touch it!" Our Guide, Maria, was extremely knowledgeable, and all the staff were very friendly. We were amazed at all there was to do and see. In fact, of all the attractions we visited, my 10-year old Grandson liked this one the best. We... More

I really liked that this was kid friendly, even for a four year old. My son interacted throughout the park and learned new things. He earned coins for doing different jobs that he traded at the end in the gift shop. As a parent I learned many historical facts about the area. He liked being a guard, grinding corn, and... More

My 12 years old Daughter and I visited Fort Menendez today. My review will be really short. We need less restaurants and lot more museums in St Augustine. The city is one big history site. People that live near by and visitors should be able to learn more about this part of the state of Florida. My daughter and I,... More

I took my 7 year old son to this museum and we were both impressed with the hands-on activities for the kids. Learning to make candles, crushing oyster shells, operating an antique well were all fun for us. That being said, the historical information on each period was sparse, even for children. Although I found our guide, 'Esparanza', to be... More

First off I would like to thank you C W from Palatka for taking the time to write a Trip Advisor review. We find reviews both rewarding and also very helpful in pin pointing the best of our museum and what may need some attention. Without making excuses for your experience, we find it hard to anticipate the amount of... More

We visited the fort today and I have to say I was very impressed. Tickets were super reasonable, staff was extremely friendly and exhibits were fun and interactive! Included in the admission was the tour, exhibits, candle making, Indian necklace making and complimentary bottles of water. I can't remember the last time I visited somewhere and didn't have to pay... More
