My 12 years old Daughter and I visited Fort Menendez today. My review will be really short. We need less restaurants and lot more museums in St Augustine. The city is one big history site. People that live near by and visitors should be able to learn more about this part of the state of Florida. My daughter and I,... More

I took my 7 year old son to this museum and we were both impressed with the hands-on activities for the kids. Learning to make candles, crushing oyster shells, operating an antique well were all fun for us. That being said, the historical information on each period was sparse, even for children. Although I found our guide, 'Esparanza', to be... More

First off I would like to thank you C W from Palatka for taking the time to write a Trip Advisor review. We find reviews both rewarding and also very helpful in pin pointing the best of our museum and what may need some attention. Without making excuses for your experience, we find it hard to anticipate the amount of... More

We visited the fort today and I have to say I was very impressed. Tickets were super reasonable, staff was extremely friendly and exhibits were fun and interactive! Included in the admission was the tour, exhibits, candle making, Indian necklace making and complimentary bottles of water. I can't remember the last time I visited somewhere and didn't have to pay... More

The staff here makes the adventure come to life!!! My son loved that he could not only touch whatever he waned but that he could receive "money" (gold Ducado) for doing so! These Ducados can be used later in the gift shop as a discount. We also learned how to play a old bowling style game, make candles, crush oyster... More

After hauling 7 kids around St. Augustine we decided to go back one more day to check out Fort Menendez. WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!!!! We had a fabulous time exploring this hands on "museum." The kids were able to make candles and necklaces to take home. And, had a great time earning coins answering questions on our tour to spend... More

This was by far the best history museum for kids I've seen-and we go to Williamsburg frequently. The kids each got an occupation and were paid for doing different tasks. At the end they could spend their money in the gift shop-which they LOVED! It was very well done and you couldn't beat the price for such an enjoyable afternoon.... More

I was surprised at how good of an attraction this was. This really well done. Our guide was excellent. She engaged the children and adulrs alike. I learned a lot. We all had a great time. I would recommend this attraction to all families visiting St. Augustine.

Very interesting place that kept my four kids (all Boys) interested for hours. They loved the interaction with the exhibits and the tour guide was able to answer all the kids local history questions.

My family (myself, my husband and 4 kids- 12, 8, 6, and 3) reside in St Augustine. We love to "explore" our city and tend to check out a lot of the local attractions on the weekends. Today, 4/26/14, we decided to head to Fort Menendez because we had been once before and had a nice time. Well, there is... More

First off, I want to thank you for coming to Fort Menendez to entertain and educate your family. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am about your visit. Your experience was definitely not typical of what we expect our customers to have when they visit us, and that is unacceptable to me. With that being said, I am grateful... More
