We had looked forward to this for some time. When I went years ago, there were lots of interesting things, but this time, it seemed the entire museum focused on the macabre, the dead, mummies, horrific weapons, etc. My son, who has Asperger's and loves military history, was extremely upset by the whole place, and did not even enjoy the... I did the ghost tour with Ripley's and it was OKAY. I was cool getting the EMF reader and the laser grid but basically pointless. The guides were historical but it would have been more realistic if they didn't have the people who gave the tour acting as if they were ghosts. Also, I was hoping to hear experiences by... More

This was a Huge collection of the most random stuff. Shrunken heads, clock and replicas made of match sticks, and my favorite, the two story high Ferris wheel made from a Erector Set. This is a self guided museum and will take a few hours if you stop to read everything. The museum is always getting new exhibits so if... More

I first visited Ripley’s in 1972, at age 20. Some of those features still exist, which may seem banal to those with instant Internet searches and social media. Freaky things are in real time. Still, the oddities collection spurs imagination and reminds visitors that everything old is new again. It is in the gift shop, believe it or not, that... More

I usually take my kids to Ripley's at the beginning of the summer break. There is always something new to see and we are never disappointed.

I enjoyed the tv show, but the museum wasn't as educational. It felt like more of a freak show rather than a museum of unbelievably interesting things. I would have liked to seen more beautiful things that people have made that were unconventional rather than a repulsive shrunken head. I enjoyed the artwork on matchbooks , dot art, Asian shoes,... We are a family with for teens and we visited in April 2013. I seriously dont understand the negative comments! We had such a great and interesting time! We have been to the one in Orlando before and we loved that one as well. We where a bit worried that it might be kind of a copy with similar exhibits... More

The most interesting part of this place is the old building that houses it. My kids wanted to visit Ripley's last time we were in St. Augustine, and we said no (knowing it would be a rip-off). This time they talked us into it since we had some free time and no plans. Should have stuck with our instincts!! There... More

I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your visit. I am surprised that you mention the "fake" exhibits as the only item in the museum that was a sham that Mr. Ripley exposed was the Fiji Mermaid. We have over 800 exhibits and interactives here and the exhibits are authentic. We have the genuine items here, in fact, many... More

Was an okay attraction. A little expensive for us since we got thru the entire place in about an hour. Spent more time in the gift shop. We bought tickets for the Ripley's Museum as well as the Red Train Tour. The lady taking our money was a little rude.

First, I want to sincerely thank you for making Ripley's a part of your visit to St. Augustine. I also want to apologize if anyone seemed rude. That is totally not accepptable in any of our establishments. I will definitely look into this. Thank you for visiting and for bringing this to our attention. More
