The building itself is interesting for architectural reasons alone. I'm told that the original owner had 14 children and 4 nannies. Lovely interior design, stained glass, etc. The true-to-size replica of Michaelangelo's "David" in the front courtyard is certainly worth seeing. The exhibits are what one should expect--oddities, etc. We went near closing time and it was not crowded so... More

After years of putting off visiting Ripley's "Haunted" Castle, because let's be honest once you've seen one you've seen them all, we finally decided to go for some pre-dinner entertainment on Valentine's Day. Luckily they were offering 25% off online tickets that day so I only paid $10 each. Knowing what I know now, that is still overpriced. The place... More

My boyfriend and I went because we watched the show as kids and thought it would be fun to see some strange things. The tour was pleasant and some of the objects were very interesting, others were pretty lame. We enjoyed ourselves until a large unsupervised group of teenagers showed up being loud and unruly, blocking halls and running into... More

I am so sorry that you had to deal with that. We do, from time to time, have groups of kids come through, but we always let parents or group leaders know that they have to stay with them. Unfortunately, sometimes that doesn't happen the way we'd like. Your experience is not one that we want people to walk away... More

I am so sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience! All of our exhibits are verified by several sources. We also offer show cards and information on each exhibit. At one point, a gentleman wrote thousands of letter trying to disprove the validity of some of our exhibits and not a single one could be proven wrong. Quite a feat... More

For a museum of oddities, it is as one would imagine. However, the one thing that disappointed us was how many exhibits cost money. A quarter to read your palm, another to make some puppet animate that sort of thing. After paying so much to get in it was disappointing to have to keep telling our 9 year old things... More

We are so glad that your enjoyed our oddities! We do have a few coin op machines, but they are more for entertainment than exhibit purposes. Thank you so much for visiting and for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. More

Well, it's ok to go once and take a glimpse of weird/funny/bizarre things they display it there, but that's it. No big deal, since nowadays you can see weird/funny/bizarre things whenever you want when you access the internet. Ok, it is nicer to see those objects in person, but still I wouldnt go a second time.

besides trying to just scare you @ every corner, every room has something to do with bones and cannibals or match sticks. Nothing special at all about this place. I was very disappointed, what a waste of $30 . So many things were "special" because they were made out of match sticks... i dont get it.

I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience here. we do have 2 or three matchstick exhibits, but the pieces are really quite intricate. The cathedral took ages to create and is a beautiful likeness. We have over 800 other exhibits as well. I'm very sorry that you didn't find it more to your liking as we do strive... More

This was a cool visit. Very creative artists out there - art made with whole crayons, smoke, pins, matchsticks... Went with my 4-yr old which I don't recommend bc some areas are kind of scary (torture & ghost section). But he did enjoy himself. What I didn't appreciate were the numerous games (pinball machine, shooting pirates exhibit, fortune telling etc)... More

I've been to 5 other Ripley's locations and this one is the biggest I've seen and has the largest gift shop as well. The exhibits are fun, entertaining and informative. We took about 2 hours to tour the whole place! We had a great time!

We visited the museum for the 1st time and I found it quite interesting. I loved the items made out of matchsticks. The ferris wheel made out of erector sets were awesome .A lot to see and read about.
