I was disappointed that the Old Drugstore was sacrificed for the new home of the Wax Museum. While this place has a good collection of characters and they are very good, this is a tourist trap. Personally, I do not see the point, and historically prefer the drugstore. However, if looking at wax statues of celebrities is fun for you,... More

I've never been to a wax museum and I'm glad i went to the first one built in the whole United States. It is very small, maybe like 20 wax figures, many from the old times, a little bit of each era, and there is a spot where you see them making the wax figures, very nice and friendly staff.

Never realized it was the first wax museum in the US, conceived after Mr. Potter visited Mme Tussauds in Europe. The wax figures are very life-like, and there were more displays than I expected, given the size of the place. They give you a little "behind the scenes" as well showing figures in the making. You can get close to... More

My husband and I had never been to a wax museum but I am glad we did this day. The ladies working were very nice. One told us a bit about the museum before we entered and offered to let us touch a wax hand (I would imagine this stops people from trying to touch the actual figures). The place... More

Visited the wax museum on the April 11th 2015. Took the family which includes 4 small children. They found something that excited them. Even the adults wanted pictures with a wax figure or two. Many figures that span centuries.

This wasn't the highlight of my trip to St. Augustine, but I can't give it a bad review. It was just fine. It's probably a good place to visit if it's raining and you want to stay dry. If I could make a recommendation to the museum, I would say that they should have an artist at work explaining the... More

Kids are between the ages of 9 and 14 and they really loved this. The lady gave us a deal. Not sure if we would have gone in otherwise. The figures are life size and of course, some are better than others. But it is actually a good history lesson for the kids. I particularly enjoyed that it said how... More
