I stopped her on the way to St. Augustine. A fairy departs every hour yet it just so happened the our we came it was cancelled. Really? Have to wait 90 minutes for the next one? NOPE. To top this irritation, we asked the park ranger about that and she said yes it is cancelled. Offer not explanation and look... More

The history assoiated with this fort and one of the few actual forts still in existance. This is the only fort in the US which was never captured or destroyed. You can feel the history as you stroll through it's many areas. As you stroll aroung just relax and let your inner senses flow freely. You jusr might feel a... More

This is also a must see for history buffs. At the entrance is a museum which describes the fort and history of it being built. A short boat ride leaves from the small dock to take visitors to the other side of the waterway to the fort. Most of the coquina walls remain and a ladder leads to the top... More

It's set in a nice park. And you get to take a ferry trip across the river. You also get a nice little history lesson. Trip is short so check it out if your in the area. About 20 minutes outside of town

This is a very small fort but well worth the tip if you are in the area. I should point out that there's more to this location than the fort itself. The site also includes a nature trail and some fishing areas that appeared to be quite popular with local residents. Even before taking the ferry (free) over to the... More

This is a quick trip but you get a free, comfortable, ferry ride across the river and there is a good story at the fort. Great for kids.

Excellent place to visit. The fort is reached by a short ferry ride. It takes about an hour to visit. The National Park Service runs it and the cost is free. The fort has an interesting history. If you take the last tour at 4:30, they might let you lower the flag.

We toured this small Fort just down from the condo where we were staying. We took the walk before boarding the ferry over to the Fort. The guide was funny, knowledgeable, and very personable. She could answer all our questions, and gave us a great understanding of the history of the Fort.

This is a great Fort to visit. Not everyone knows that their are actually two Fort's in Saint Augustine. This fort is much smaller. It is free admission and you have to take a ferry boat to get to it. So on top of getting in for free, you are getting a free boat ride too. Totally worth going to.... More
