This is one of St Augustine's free attractions. It's a little south of town but it's a nice drive to get there. You will need to get a ticket for the short ferry ride. Tickets are free in the office. You can watch a short historical video about the fort before the ferry ride. Keep an eye out for dolphins... More

Just a very pleasant 1/2 day trip - hiked on a short trail on the park grounds before a ferry ride to the actual fort. The fort itself isn't as impressive as Castillo St Marcos but it's a neat side trip if you're looking for something to do.

Free boat ride took you to an 18th century Spanish fort. Showed the artillery and the beds the Spanish used. Getting in the fort was a good demonstration of how short people where back then. Tour Guide was also in line of the dress and talking style of the period.

To get here you have to take a boat across the inlet. The boat ride is beautiful. The tour guides are always very informative and kind. Best view from the top of the fort.

Bring mosquito spray and get there early. We arrived an hour after the site had opened and most of the boat tickets were already gone and the parking lot was full of families. This is a hidden gem. The museum is one small room with an adjacent room to watch an 8 min film about the location. The film was... More

We were on the very first boat of the morning to the fort. It is a short tour lasts approximately 1 hour. They have a guide who is dressed up in period costume who gives a talk about the history of the fort. Definitely worth a visit.

If you love history, don't miss this. It is a small fort with touring in and around the grounds. Be sure you arrive well before 5 as inside tours end at that time. $7.00 per person to go in. Walking the outside perimeter is free. Great views from the top of the fort.

My husband and I were told about this fort by fellow guests where we were staying. What a great time. The Rangers were so friendly and informative. As other reviewers said...you obtain a free ticket from the office and take the ferry to the fort. The Ranger gives you a little history of the fort and when you get there,... More

We take all of our visitors here. Such a great piece of history in a beautiful location. You can climb to the top of the small fort for great views of the marsh. We love the boat ride over to the fort and the nature walk near the visitor's center.
