I wanted to stop and at least get pics and we decided to go inside. It by far exceeded are expectations. It was so neat to learn the history and see how things were built esp out of coquina rock....just awesome...would highly recommend if you are in the area to take time and see it. I would say allow 1-2... More

This fort is very complete and well maintained by the Natiional Park Service, and has an interesting re-enactment of firing the cannons. It is a rare find, being a Spanish fort and over 400 years old, and is well worth the admission price to visit.

Self guided with rangers to ask questions. Audio would be nice. It would be also be helpful if someone told us to start to the left on the lower floor. Lots of history and beautiful views. Using the National Park senior pass(over 65) gave us free entry.!

#1 reason to come to St. Augustine. Check out all the rooms and read the exhibits. Wear bug soray in the evening. In the summer go early, it gets really hot.

Great to learn about the Spanish colony and the battles that they fought with the British during the early days of US history. The views from the top portion of the fort overlooking the water are amazing. Truly, this is a place that you need to visit when in St. Augustine. Recommend you go on a weekend when they do... More

Lots of information to read and take in. Enjoyed walking around at my own pace and taking pictures whenever I felt like it. The views are very nice and the employees dressed up in traditional Spanish military uniforms are very into what they do. One spent a good hour answering questions and telling stories, he takes his role very seriously... More

Learn the amazing history of the United States. The best deal in town. Even if you have been to other forts, this is one of a kind and is definitely worth a visit.

This fort was really interesting and has so much history. There were markers at every spot explaining what happened there. Hard to believe it is still standing after so many years - that's part of the fascination. I would've liked a little more information on some parts of the structure, but overall is a good value.

Every since I was a kid this place has been very magical. Each tear when relatives come down they all want to go back to the fort. The history is great and the tours are short but extremely informative. If you’re lucky you’ll set hem fire a cannon or other firearms of the day. Then head to one of the... More
