Very very interesting old fort built by the Spaniards. We were there on a weekend so we're able to see them prepare and fire a cannon. Rangers are available to answer questions. Nice to walk around both the inside and outside.

This is one of the best National Monuments we've been to. There was ample park staff to answer questions and direct visitors. The signage and displays were well written and also done in Spanish, which was both thoughtful and respectful to the history of the Fort. We also got to witness some living history both just hanging out and giving... More

Our family was amazed by the sheer size of the fort walls and the history behind it. Educational but not overwhelming as well as fantastic views and grounds to walk around.

This national park really taught me a lot about Florida and US history. This fort changed hands many times- Spanish, British , civil war.. Live demonstrations of Spanish cannon firing.

I have been there 2 or 3 times in my life. it is always a very interesting experience. Lots of living history. The firing of the cannons are always interesting. Well worth the cost of admission.

Fascinating fort. Much bigger and more to see than you might think. Costumed guides will give you lots of information. Give yourself some time to see it all .

Very nice historic museum. The castle is very well preserved and the cannon shooting show is amazing! One of the best museums in the city.

A well restored and maintained national park site. This may well be the oldest site in North American European-influenced history. Very fine photo ops were had here. Rangers are pleasing, as I've always found them to be. With Eagle pass, there was no admission charge. Nearby parking is very easy to use.

Field Trip for 4th graders. This was the best way to show children with a trip to experience in person the richness of Florida history located in St. Augustine. With a guided tour and people dressed in time period clothing, they have a true hands-on understanding of life back in the 1500's. The Castillo de San Marcos is a true... More

It is very well presented. There was a lot of groups of kids on school field trip but they weren't in the way. I recommend watching the canon ball firing.
