We visited Castillo de San Marcos on Feb. 26, a blustery day in St. Augustine. If you are in the area, don't miss this piece of Spanish history. There were two men in Spanish uniforms giving information about the soldiers and their equipment. There are frequently programs on the weekends that would be very informative. There is much Florida history... More

This is one of st Augustine's "don't miss" attractions. Staff in period costumes were available to answer questions and did presentations at different times. Adults and children alike will enjoy the experience. Learned a lot of history in a short amount of time. The fort itself has lots of displays with good descriptions. If you're there on the weekend there... More

So many of these type places are only ruins. Not here! You could see Spanish soldiers of 300 years ago manning the walls today. Well worth seeking out a tour to get some detail about the fort and it's inner workings-very interesting stuff.

My fiance and I visited on a holiday weekend allowing us to tour for free. My fiance is huge into history and could have spent hours there. I in the other hand enjoy history and after reading all the wonderful informative displays was ready to go. Both of us enjoyed it immensely. It is a wonderful place for all ages.

A great place to spend wo or three hours. Receive a history lesson while exploring the Fort built by the Spanish in the late 1600 's. The staff put on agreat tour dressed in period costume. Both adults and children will be entertsined and the tour is completed with a firing of one of the cannons. Walking throughout the ground... More

Loved the reenactment, especially if you're a history buff or are with pretense. Actors are great! Take sunscreen, it gets hot!

This fortress provides a glimpse of the conquest activities of this eastern North American peninsula leading to its designation as the state of Florida, Well preserved, interesting structure. Well worth the price of admission.
