Due to construction being carried out to the ticket kiosk, admission was free on the day we visited but we wouldn't have minded paying! The day was super hot and humid and the staff were often reminding people to stay hydrated which I thought was great. Plenty of bubble taps on hand to refill the water bottles. The Castillo is... This afternoon we visited the Castillo de San Marcos, commonly known as the old fort in St Augustine FL... The modest cover fee of $8 makes this attraction a "must see" .. We visited just before 1pm and were so fortunate to be in reciept of a lecture by a very informitive tour guide who was very well versed in... More

Anytime I'm anywhere close I always make it a point to stop by. You can actually feel the history and envision the great happenings that went on in earlier times. Recommended for children and adults alike. You won't be disappointed.

There is a $7 per person entry fee per adult. I would recommend that you go on a cool day...it was extremely warm in the various rooms.

Great view, lots of history, just be ready to pay for parking if you want to park in the middle of everything.

I don't typically get excited about visiting historic war locations, but this one was cool! The staff is super nice and helpful and the tour guide had a lot of really interesting facts. We didn't do the tour but everytime we passed by his tour, we heard him speak and loved what we heard! Very nice spot to stop at!

An incredible history, rebuilt 10 times! The 10th time was finally in stone. The fort was the focus of invasions from many countries: England, Spain, France, and even pirates before Florida was sold to the US.

Great views from the magnificent Fort. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Theywill pose for pictures too in their period uniforms. I did expected the size to be bigger, but it was a nice relaxing stroll through the history of St. Augustine's fort. Tickets are inexpensive at $7 dollars, and are valid for 3 consecutive days, a great deal.

My family and I visited the fort on a Saturday morning. Not many visitors there yet so we had the place to our self. Very interesting and educational. Even had a squad firing the cannon in time uniform firing a cannon. Lots of fun.

Great tourist attraction. Very Educational. Go during the winter because it gets really hot in the different rooms during the summer. Make sure you see them fire off the canon!
