This lighthouse was taller than most we have visited however the stairways were very wide and steady. The view at the top was breathtaking. The keepers house was in excellent shape and very informative a great example of victorian architecture.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum is worth the $9 per person admission charge. I really enjoyed the tour, the grounds, and the items on hand to interact with. The parking is shaded, which helps on the hot days of Florida. If you are a lighthouse buff, this is a must stop.

I love the grounds of the lighthouse, especially at night. A great place to visit when you are in Saint Augustine and really pretty easy to climb. There are several landings as you spiral up the stairs so you can take breaks if you have to. The reward is probably easily the best view in Saint Augustine. Pretty inexpensive to... More

I could only make it half way up before being out of breath and had to go back down. My husband and son went all the way up and took wonderful pictures. Make sure you are in good health before trying the climb. There are other things on the grounds to see. Enjoyed the lighthouse keeper's home and the grounds.

Beautiful lighthouse. I wish though that the hours were longer...for someone like myself that shoots pictures, I would have loved to shoot some photos during the dawn or dusk hours.

If you have the time, visiting the light house is worth the trip. It's tucked away in a neighborhood and we encountered a few minor detours getting there, but no big deal. Upon entering, the grounds are well kept. There are several options for touring the light house and keepers' home, including a night visit and a private visit that... More

The St Augustine lighthouse is one of the things you first see when you come to the Old City. Beautifully kept lighthouse with a very old history. There is talk of the ghost of the light keeper still there and the Syfy Channel "Ghost Hunters" were there a few years ago to film an episode of their show where they... More

Very happy we did this. Very well organized and easy to navigate. We enjoyed going in the keepers house and also climbing to the top of the lighthouse which gives an amazing view of the area. I highly recommend it.

We went on a Ghost and Gravestones tour with The Old Town Trolley. Our guide took us to the park and told great stories of the sites were lives were lost. She also was very careful to explain the dangers of tree roots and low hanging branches.Beautiful site.
