Visit the historic keepers' house to see the home of Major William Harn from Philadelphia. Harn commanded his own artillery battery at the Battle of Gettysburg. We tour every lighthouse we come near. This one is very nice and in great condition. 10th tallest in the states, neat to see the restored lens spinning even during the day. Tour the inn keepers house to read about the coast guard history in the area. Nice sized gift shop.

Went on the dark of the moon tour. It was interesting. Didn't see any thing scary....maybe next time! But it was cool climbing the lighthouse in the dark.

Having a serious obsession with lighthouses, I was pleasantly impressed with the lighthouse in St. Augustine. No, it is not the largest or most extravagant lighthouse in Florida, but they have done a great job of preserving the history and laying it out for you. The staff is informative and friendly, and the view at the top is worth the... More

Most folks are done within an hour or so. Going to the observation walkway is about the equivalent to 14 stories, with 8 rest platforms along the way. Impressive view.

Although I have seen a few other lighthouse, this was the first one we have actually toured. We climbed all 219 steps to a very lovely view of the area. The lighthouse is well kept, clean and very nice. The grounds are the same. Very clean and relaxing. No doubt this was one of the many favorite places we visited... More

Lighthouses rank high or low on people's lists of things to see and do without too much middle ground. This is a lighthouse you should absolutely visit if you ever wondered about the historical significance and oddity of lighthouses. This is one museum where reading the history is really fascinating and worthwhile. There are tours, including Ghost Tours at night,... More

This is one place I have wanted to go to for years. And I finally did. It is a beautiful site and the views from the top of the lighthouse are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The food at the cafe for lunch was well worth the cost. Very good, very... More

If you like or never been in a lighthouse, this one is great. And special. The guides will tell history of it & you can actually climb to the top. Kids love it. I wave from the bottom. Great gift shop as well

If you are into history. I mean 1800 history and beyond this is your place. Lots of information and a great learning experience for younger kids. Beautiful gardens as well. Guided tours and worth the walk up to the top of the Lighthouse. That's all I'm going to say. One thing that I don't believe you need to read about... More
