This lighthouse is very much worth visiting. Be prepared for a good hike to the top. The views are excellent and there is plenty of educational information available to learn a thing or two about the area and lighthouse also. The staff are very nice and pleasant and not too pushy.

My family and I visited this site several years ago and decided it was a must this time also. The first time we walked up to the top of the lighthouse, however this time we opted to walk around the grounds exploring. I absolutely loved the trees on the property! Would recommend!

We visit St.Augustine every year and we watched the price go up and up, so it looks like we won't be visiting the lighthouse any more, it's to bad, we used to enjoy it but $24.00 for two ?

A beautiful lighthouse and the museum is a well kept and has a great many artifacts. It is a fun to be able to climb the 219 steps to the top of the lighthouse.

I made this a brief stop, so I did not climb the lighthouse. I give it five stars because it does have some grounds and things to do and see. There is a building or two, some displays, a demo, and a place to hike into a hammock. There is even a play area for the kids. I saw a... More

The lighthouse tour at St Augustine was an awesome experience. We toured the grounds & buildings on a self guided day tour & then came back that night for the Ghost Tour! Our tour guide, Chris, did an excellent job of narrating the history & pointing out the hot spots for paranormal activity. We had an encounter with direct responses... More

It was a particularly hot July Florida day, and by the time my husband and I parked, walked to the gift shop, purchased our tickets, and walked to the lighthouse, we didn't think we had it in us to climb the 219 steps to the top. Add to that, the steps themselves are a lacy wrought-iron design, meaning you can... More

My husband and I enjoy lighthouses and have visited many so we couldn't not visit this one. The upkeep and the history has been preserved for future generations so it should be on everyone's list of things to see in St. Augustine. The walk up was hard but worth every step when you got to the top.

We took the tour (night). We climbed the 219 steps to the top in the dark wearing glow sticks. The tour also included the house and grounds, as well as a lot of free time. Great tour and beautiful landmark

Very interesting visit, well kept grounds, casual and fun time. 215 steps up? Worth it! Beautiful view! Interesting facts to be learned about the keepers and their families, their life and work conditions, and the development and duties of the lighthouse. Plan 2 hours to enjoy it.
