Visit the historic keepers' house to see the home of Major William Harn from Philadelphia. Harn commanded his own artillery battery at the Battle of Gettysburg. I had bought a Groupon for this establishment and it turned out to be much nicer than I imagined with lots of information and gardens. The lighthouse was amazing with fabulous view so bring your camera if you go to the top of the lighthouse.....also very windy there. Definitely something to see if you're in St. Augustine. My grandson really... More

As we were planning our trip to St. Augustine, we battled with the fact on whether to pay the fee and tour the lighthouse or just view it from the exterior. I am glad we decided to pay and visit because the view from the top was amazing. If you can make the climb, I highly encourage it. More

The light house is BEAUTIFUL at night! However the museum and gift shop where a little stale... Stop by anyway the next time you go to the ancient city though and see what YOU think! More

One of the larger lights on the Atlantic coast. It's a long climb to the top, but the views weren't bad. We learned about the life of a light keeper. They toiled daily carrying buckets of hot oil to the top. Also, see the keeper's duplex next door. On the second floor we saw an interesting video about shrimp fishing.... More

The lighthouse is a definite must if you are visiting the St. Augustine area. It is full of so much history and the 219 stairs that you climb to the top, is well worth the view of the city. More

This lighthouse is well kept. Lighthouse is surronded by lots of trees so getting the perfect shot is difficult. You have to pay admission fee even if you don't plan on walking up the lighthouse. When visiting Castillo de San Marco, you can see the lighthouse towering above the trees, this make a good picture. You can also see the... More

Thanks for your great review of our Lighthouse. There are some great picture taking sites across the City Park on the otherside of the lighthouse, out on the pier, and very near the Lighthouse gate. Many also love to take pictures of the Live Oak Trees and the wonderful canopy they make on the front grounds. We hope you do... More

Initially, we thought we were paying a lot just to climb to the top of a lighthouse. After arriving, experiencing the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and browsing the engaging exhibits, we were very glad we came. Our kids from 15 to 8 really enjoyed it as well. Good job preserving history. Beautiful gardens as well. More
