Climb 214 steps to the top of the 1875 Lighthouse for a wonderful view of Saint Augustine and the wide, sandy Beaches. Visit the historic keepers' house to see the home of Major William Harn from Philadelphia. Harn commanded his own artillery battery at the Battle of Gettysburg. Walk around the Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program Boatworks and boat yard to see small craft under construction and view artifacts from shipwrecks just off shore. Play in our pirate ship play area if you are too small to climb. Wonderful place to visit. The lighthouse and the climb to the top are well worth the visit. The grounds with little paths and the light keeper's house are also worth seeing. Great visit on a good day, and a quick drive from St. A.

An absolutely gorgeous well preserved light house with a museum and replica keepers house on grounds. If you're a haunted location seeker, the lighthouse offers nighttime ghost hunting tours throughout the year for a fee.

It was really windy but a beautiful view. The light keepers house was very interesting. This is a must if you come to st Augustine. Also wonderful model ships were being built. The woman making them was very informative and sweet

The self guided tour was very well put together and gave a lot of personal and historic information. Parking is very convenient. The gift shop had fun items (including a number of I climbed to the top items) and was affordable. The view from the top is amazing and with all of the platforms on the way even the most... More

Being a local from St. Augustine, I still love going to the lighthouse. Lots of history and they are always having some sort of event going on. Of you can make it to the top you will have awesome views especially if it is on a clear day.

Kids under 44 inches can't climb the lighthouse so the 5 year old and I played while the rest of the family climbed. There's a pirate ship playground and a lot of walking trails to keep busy.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse and museum is a wonderful oppportunity to experience how lighthouse keepers lived and worked their trade in St. Augustine Florida. The museum has many hands-on displays that are fun for both children and adults. There are only 144 stairs to the top with windowed landings along the way for a short rest and an opportunity to... Used to be that you could go and look around the grounds on our most recent visit they wanted to charge my 4 year old the same as if he was going to climb the lighthouse. They said they now charge on height. So we said thank you but no thank you and left. They have not let the local... More
