We booked the tour for a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other kayak on the tour. Even so, it was occasionally challenging to stay close enough to the guide to hear him at all times. The guide was very informative and patient, and knew the area, sea life and birds well. He pointed out a purple urchin on... More

It was cold the day we went. Winds were intense. The intercoastal was rough but tolerable. But when we entered the esturaries it was a different world. The winds were gone, the temp was bearable. And as with any nursery it was very quiet and peaceful. Our Captain Adam was knowledgeable and patient. We never felt rushed. Though I did... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when I read that the boat only held 6, but it was great! My sister and I were looking for something to do in St. Augustine the day after Christmas. We saw the ad in one of the coupon books, so I called, thinking that they probably wouldn't be open, or if they were,... More

We wanted to see the lights from the water and it ended up being a lovely cruise with Adam and no other tourists! We were given our choice of wines ahead of time and a bottle to be shared between two so decide ahead. Blankets were provided in case we got cold.

We took 3 tours with Eco Tours while in St. Augustine. Our first was the sail boat tour with Jeremy. He was very informative and friendly. A storm quickly approached while we were out and had to end our tour early. However, the management reimbursed us because events were beyond our control. Our next tour was a guided kayak tour.... Captains Neil and Adam took us out at noon on Christmas Eve 2015 for a tour. The weather was exceptional and the day was to be loaded with surpises and good times. We went from one side of the river and back seeing dolphins, shore birds, and all the sights of the bay. On our way back, Neil and Adam,... More

My family has gone out with Eco Tours on 4 occasions now and it's incredible each time. Captain Adam is incredibly knowledgeable of the wildlife and ecosystems of the Matanzas River. Each tour is different as there isn't a set itinerary. They go where they think you're likely to see something. If there's nothing there they cruise elsewhere. You couldn't... More

We loved the ECO tour and had an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable about the marine animals and birds in the area. It ended up that we were the only couple on the tour and so had a nice private tour. Definitely something that we will do again on another trip to St. Augustine!
