Took the tour of the island , shuttle boat dropped us off , walked around awhile , stretched out on the beach for awhile , some swimming and snokeling. Very busy on the weekends in good weather, boats raft up and the partying begins - never know what you'll see ! Good way to relax and kill alitte timetime

The boat ride from the marina to peanut island is a short one. It will drop you off at either the museum or the beach area. We went to the museum and then to the Kennedy fall out shelter from the 1960's. Both of these took about an hour. It appears that most people go to peanut island for the... More

Had a great day here with my son and girlfriend. Think of the desert island in the middle of a busy waterway. The views can be a bit industrial but the water is alive with fish the sand is beautifully powdery and white . Highlights snorkelling and then getting out only to be followed by 2 stingrays, then collecting coconuts... More

The directions on here sent us to a location that we could not use to access the island. Even though we live 25m away from the destination, it took an hour to finally get to the beach NOT the island. The locals don't have much knowledge on how to get to the island (or at least the 7 people we... More

Don't miss the chance to go to peanut island. We took Cap Joes ferry over. Round trip is $10. We went to the Coast Guard quarters and the Kennedy Bunker. $10. A great guided tour. Call first because it was closed on Wednesday very unusual and historic.

I can't believe I never visited this amazing little island before this summer!! It's so much fun! Rented kayak and snorkeled. We saw gorgeous fish!! Motor boat even goes by selling food and drinks. We visit here every month and just love it!! Best to go during high tide. The water is beautiful-we can see the bottom it's so clear!!!
