The island was very nice. We went there to go snorkeling. We read the other reviews and that helped. Somake sure to bring your water shoes. We probably packed to much. We didn't need our chairs or umbrellas because we found a nice but with a picnic table. We went during the week so it wasn't very crowded. We used... More

Our family of five caught the ferry over to Peanut Island during a week in Palm Beach Shores. What a gem. There was so much to do - swimming, snorkeling, history. We toured JFK's bunker and the old Coast Guard station. The island can only be reached by boat - we used Capt. Joe's ferry service, which cost $10 a... More

We took Capt Joe's taxi service over to the island ($10 roundtrip). We went at low tide and saw a lot of fish, very colorful!!! They say it is better at high tide. Make sure to bring your snorkel gear, plenty of water, and whatever you want to eat. Nice island, plenty of shade. Will definitely do again, this time... More

We arrived at the kayak rental booth in the parking lot of a run-down marina, amidst a great deal of construction and I had some serious reservations. BUT... once we rented our gear and headed to the dock I was so excited to see schools of fish swimming in the marina, crystal clear water, beautiful sunshine and weather. We paddled... More

It seems like a fun place if you have a boat and want to hook-up with other boats around the island. Definitely a lot of drinking on the boats although alcohol is not permitted on the island. I'm sure Peanut Island is a beautiful island but the number of boats, people, and loud music takes away from the natural beauty.... More

We spent the day at Peanut Island and really enjoyed it. The marina with the ferry was a little hard to find and we had to wait about 25 minutes for the ferry. We brought all our own food and water per the other reviews I read. The snorkeling was pretty good and we saw lots of fish. Good day!
