Very nice State Park. The only reason it does not get a excellent rating is St George Island is even better

During the 2015 Spring Break week, I went online and reserved a campsite area for a two-night family camp-out. The drive from Panama City was awesome, very relaxing, and very scenic. The campsite was not that big, but we were able to place 2 tents, a screened canopy, and with our 2 vehicles and a jet ski parked all in... More

If you are looking to get away from all the condos and development and crowds, this is the place to go! Amazing beaches, and so much nature to explore! The rangers were extremely friendly and helpful! Just make sure you bring enough sunscreen and bugspray.

St Joseph Peninsula State Park is a great place to enjoy a day at the beach. It has facilities for boat launching, beach accesses, restrooms with dressing rooms, and benches on the beach to sit and relax. Of course, you can bring your own chairs, towels, picnic lunches and such to make for a full day enjoyment. Hubby and I... More

One of the best places to discover wildlife and relax on one of the most beautiful beaches ever! We enjoy going out the bay in our boat and finding a sandbar and putting down anchor.....it is amazing to see all the sea creatures.

This State Park is REALLY a place, you MUST see if you want to see beautiful nature and want to relax a bit after having visited all these busy places down south in Florida (Miami, St. Petersburg, Fort Myers...). Just sit on the beach or take a walk... the dunes are really impressive, the sea invites for a good swim... More

This is truly a hidden gem. Having been voted best beach, and being the only two time national gold medal winner in America, it's no surprise that this beach is quite so spectacular. Not easy to get to, but well worth the trip. Stunning white sand, great accommodations, boat launch, cabins, fishing both fresh and salt water, hiking trails, camping... More

There are trails to walk, or you can go out to the beach, the walk is well worth it. We drove through the campground and that looked nice. There are also cabins you can rent that have great bay views.

We stopped here for the day and wish we had longer to stay. What a beautiful park with amazing beaches and hardly anyone around. The sand dunes make you feel like you are in the Carolinas. This is not your typical Florida beach. We all loved it. We walked over 2 miles and only passed one family. We will come... More

Voted the best state park in the country, this beautiful, wild piece of northwest Florida is not to be missed. You have to want to go there, for it is at the northern tip of St. Joseph Peninsula (nearest town is Port St. Joe, 18 miles away). The park is home to incredible sand dunes, and is between the Gulf... More
