Being the environmentalist we are, we were looking for a place to become "one" with nature and enjoy the beach. This campground is amazing, clean, quiet and beautiful. Shady Pines will give you the most shade and all lots on both grounds are a very short walk to the beach. Lot 51 is one of the best for Gulf Breeze... More

We just got back today from a weekend camping trip. We planned on going to the scallop festival and thought we'd spend a few nights in the park. Our site was listed as full shade, but we had no shade at all. Not a big deal, just really hot. We woke up Saturday to a deer standing outside beside our... More

The weekend of Labor day I spent at the park and fully expected noisey loud people. Although the park was full, it was peaceful and quiet. The camp hosts really kept the place picked up and our campsite had clearly been raked prior to our checking in. Beautiful snorkeling water and lovely understands for a perfect weekend.

This is one of the most beautiful stat parks that I have ever visited. The dunes on the gulf side are spectacular and the water in the bay side is crystal clear. Fishing, kayaking, birding, snorkeling, and riding the waves are all popular activities at this park. It has something for everyone that enjoys the outdoors.

Photos of wildlife, Dunes, waterfront. Super quiet day. Very few people the day we went. We saw many plant species, and birds we have never seen in person. Easy to navigate. We are not campers but this looked like the place to camp.

Clear as glass water on the bay side for fun exploring for all ages. Thousands of hermit crabs nestled in colorful shells of all sizes, including little bity ones. Interesting sea life like starfish, sea slugs and schools of fish. Fun to rent or bring a kayak to meander along the shore. Just across the street are the gulf waters... More

If you are searching for clear blue/green water, clean white sand, huge sand dunes, and the feeling that you're on a deserted tropical island...this is the place for you. It costs $6 per vehicle to get in and it's well worth it as long as you're not searching for entertainment in the form of activities. There's nothing here but beautiful... More
