This was the first time I've ever visited a state Park like this. Usually, the state parks I visit are mountainous inland forests. St. Joseph's Peninsula was far from the typical Park though. This park is mostly white sand, pine, and palm. First, you head out a few miles down the Peninsula, past beautiful beach houses, to the park entrance... More

Come over and walk along to watch the waves. One of our favorite places in the area. Easy to get to and easy to leave, parking is never a problem.

This is a 2500 acre Florida State park that has nice facilities. In the winter months, there are very few people there but a few campers. Nice clean and well- kept rest rooms convenient to the beach and bay sides. Loads of birds for people who appreciate them or want to photograph. Miles of sparking white sand beaches on ocean... Nice state park with miles of sparkling white sand beaches of the Gulf on one side and St. Joseph Bay on the other. Wonderful views and a great to place to check out if in the area. I was there several times and enjoyed it each time.

Giant dunes, deer, great nature trails. It was cold but no one was on the beach. If you like a beautiful beach to yourself, this is the place for you.

Once rated one of the top beaches in the world, because of the sand I'm sure. Almost powdery and white. Good parking and access with a small convenience store on site.

Solitude and beauty throughout the park. Very remote. The campgrounds are well equipped. Book early.

What a great park! The staff was very helpful. A family group of 6 stayed in one of the bay side cabins. The nine miles of beaches with exquisite sunsets were quiet. You won't find them crowded in late January or early February. The park is great for folks who prefer active, natural pursuits.
