The beach areas within the state park are very clean, spacious and well maintained. There are also showers and restrooms available close to the beach entrances. We went during the week so there were few people there and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. It's a very scenic drive through the park and well worth the nominal entrance... More

I have not camp by the beach before, and I really did not like the idea but after reading reviews and because we were a group of 4 families from TX. I knew it was going to be fine. But I was surprise to discovered that it was more than fine. It was Great!! Because of the sand dunes you... More

Completed our 6th annual weeklong spring break RV camping trip to this amazing park. There are miles of white sandy beaches out to the point of the peninsula on the gulf (west) side. Several nature trails. The bay is one of the most biodiverse you'll find; you can spend an entire day walking from sand bar to sand bar finding... More

We visited the park several times as we were staying nearby. However, 6 bucks every time seemed unreasonable, and we would have visited much more if we did not have to pay the fee each time. They should have at least a three day pass.

We drove out there to go shelling, so it was ok for that; but wouldn't make the trip for any other reason. If you are camping it's ok. Awful long drive to get to anything.

The night we were here the wind blew so hard I thought we were going to go airborne. It rained so hard it was hard to sleep plus it was cold. We just picked the wrong night to stop here.

This was the first time I've ever visited a state Park like this. Usually, the state parks I visit are mountainous inland forests. St. Joseph's Peninsula was far from the typical Park though. This park is mostly white sand, pine, and palm. First, you head out a few miles down the Peninsula, past beautiful beach houses, to the park entrance... More

Come over and walk along to watch the waves. One of our favorite places in the area. Easy to get to and easy to leave, parking is never a problem.
