we have visited this park 2 times, each with its own ups & downs. Prepare for rain, keep firewood in dry place, cover table, secure your site. if you don't have any rain lucky you! The bay is shallow especially at low tide & the water temps are lovely. stay closer to the beach & its winds or your gonna... More

This is one of my favorite places in the world. Love to camp here. Shady pines campground is one of the best I've been to. Love to kayak to primitive camp sites and stay there. Kayak to the tip of the peninsula and you'll see so much wildlife and beautiful water. Great place to explore and revisit!

All I can say is wow. We camped here for 5 days nice clean bathrooms . Our site was very close to the ocean so we got to sleep to the sound of waves. The beach and water are so clean and clear. You can rent bikes and many other things on the way to the park. Great for bikes.... More

While we enjoyed walking the beautiful beaches and the great sunsets, the camp site are way too small to really enjoy the place. You are packed in like sardines, and the next camper is parked in your back door. The bathhouse was clean, and they did a good job of keeping it that way. We drove around the campground that is... There is nothing better to travel to on the east coast. No developments, just unspoiled beautiful ocean. A must for small kids and families. AWESOME

We made our reservation in August and booked in for 3 nights in January 2016. Our site was along side the sand doons and just a quick walk to the beach. We were very impressed with how the park was laid out and maintained. No on-site sewers, basic cell coverage or no service. We had a severe thunder storm on... More

Absolutely stunning sunsets, glorious beaches, great nature walks for all levels makes this state park one of the best I've seen. It has camping, RV parking, nice cabins. Easy to take a drive through if in the Panhandle area near Apalachicola.

We went here to pass the time before checking in to a hotel farther down the road. Tried to find different spots to look for shells, found one spot with lots of urchins washed up. Some paces were murky and weedy but on the other side of the road was a long nice stretch of beach. There just weren't any... More

My wife and I entered the park for a short drive. Nice drive but does not really go anywhere. Our dog could not go on the beach. Area is very primitive. No place for food. Park Ranger was very nice.

St. Joe State Park is something that shouldn't be missed if visiting Cape San Blas. Go as far as you can drive inside the state park and then walk a short distance to the beach through the Sand Dunes. It's so beautiful!! I felt like we were in California and the beaches were fantastic! Very uncrowded area that has some... More
