We camped here during the polar vortex and yes it was cool but far warmer then the sub-zero back home. There are two camp grounds which are connected by a boardwalk. The east campground is open and friendlier to large rig camping while the west campground offers some privacy but also a challenge to park your rig. I backed our... More

No wonder Florida State Parks have won best in the nation TWICE !! This park is wonderful. THE most beautiful beaches with 20-40' pure white sand dunes. A walk along the shore of St. Joe Bay that is great. And a walk up the spine of the peninsula that is just serene!! Add to all that a Top Notch Park... More

We love visiting the state park. We have spent our vacations there every year for more than 30 years. It's the hubby's fav place in the world. When he heads out in his canoe the fish are in trouble!

the park now houses the light house moved from cape san blas due to erosion of the gulf shore. it includes the light house keepers home and other building. a number of museums are in the area and one is located here. a good area to spend an hour or two of your day on the bay side.

It is scenic and a water sports mecca. The campground is fine but the bathrooms could use some updating. It would be nice to have better walkways to them. The walking through sand to get there was inconvenient.

This is just beautiful beach, that is tucked away. We have been to this beach twice about 5 years apart and we had the entire beach to ourselves both times. We highly recommend, but hope that it stays unknown and unspoiled for years to come.

St. Joe State Park is one of the few pieces of "real Florida" left in the state. It's a Peninsula that lies between St. Joe Bay and the crystal white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Truly a vacation destination, the park offers tent camping, RV camping and your choice of 8 cabins. No matter which you choose, you can... More

We visited this park in October of 2014. We had much of their beautiful beaches to ourselves. Next time we visit here, we plan to cook hamburgers, as they have some great picnic areas. Plan a day here and you will love it! All of their facilities are well kept and clean. Great place for family fun.

Port st joes beach is the most beautiful nature preserved white sanded un occupied beach for miles. The Cabins (8 of them) that are available to rent in the state park are perfectly situated on the bay side. The accommodation is good. A beautiful walk on the board walk and onto the dunes brings you to this amazing beach un... More

Stretches of white sand, beautiful beach homes, wildlife and salt life. All found in this forgotten coast seaside park. Great location!
