I grew up going to this state park for family spring break trips. I returned with my family this year and the state park is exactly how I recall. It was just as beautiful and amazing. Water and beach were great and day visitors amenities were perfect for a day at the beach. Can't wait to return!

Great place to spend the day! The bay is a good place to see local sealife, the beach is clean and very well maintained.

The park was beautiful. The beaches were very nice, white sand, clear water. Not crowded at the end of August.

I'm a repeat visitor to the park and never tire of it's beauty. It has much to offer if you prefer seclusion and beautiful scenery.

Most of the time we were off sightseeing the near by towns but while at the park we saw wildlife, walked the beach and picked up shells. We stayed in the Shady Pines area and it was quiet. The camp site was nicely shaded and private, had a line for hanging towels, a picnic table and the bath house was... More

One of my favorite places. We stay in a beach house in cape San blas and go into the state park several times a week. The bay side is perfect place to kayak or paddle board. We even saw Dolphins this time and went chasing them on our paddlebboard. We got pretty close. You will see people snorkeling and walking... More

This was our first panhandle beach and we found it to be beautiful and quiet and clean. The water is a beautiful color, the sand white and soft, and the dunes are lovely. It is worth the $6.00 entrance fee and you can return in the evening to watch an amazing sunset.

Great area for fishing, picnics, hiking and kayaking. You have the beach on one side of the road inside of the park and a great bay on the other side. Bay side great place for children. Would recommend spending the day as it is quite a ways out but worth the drive.

We spent two days scalloping, kayaking and enjoying the beach at St. Joe Peninsula State Park this August. It's a WONDERFUL area, with access to both St. Joe Bay and the beach. We rented a tandem kayak from the vendor (Scallop Cove 2) for 4 hours ($45) and thoroughly enjoyed kayaking the flat water in the bay. Most of the... More

Very nice park. Probably one one of the best I've seen. Camping and kayaking was outstanding. They had a small beach and plenty of places to pick nick. Restroom accommodations were very clean.
