This beach was very near my condo.....small but quiet. There is also a public pool right there if you want to swim but not in the ocean. Not a great selection of shells if you're collecting, but I did find a few things I'd never found before: a baby horseshoe crab ectoskeleton, a cat's paw shell, and a few other... More

Clean and easily accessible. Plenty of pooches, no leashes required. Dog fountains and even dog showers.

We only went for the sunset, but it is a fee area so we had to pay to park whilst we watched,. We walked to a beach and the sunset was really beautiful. Hoseshoe crabs were swimming in the water by the beach,

My son and I came to launch our Sunfish sailboat and try a little salt water sailing in Charlotte Harbor just before noon on a Saturday. The boat ramps were busy but we had no trouble getting in and out and people were mostly courteous. One person got in a bit of a hurry but that happens at a lot... More

Better than having no beach at all, so it is nice when in Port Charlotte and you want to just hang out at a beach for a couple of hours. The beach is very close. But the water does not look appealing at all, so I would never go in it.

We were recently in Port Charlotte for the 3rd time. This is our favourite place. We were only there 2 weeks this time, but it felt like we finally got to Florida when we went to the pool for 10 am aquasizes, and some of the same people as last year were there. Also some of the same staff. The... More

Great place for walking and taking in the local views. Public pool. Fishing pier. A sailing club was their that day and offered lessons. Shoreline was a little sticky muddy looking. Don't think the pier would be a good place to fish.

It's a nice little park, with a playground for kids. I like to occasionally walk the dog there. You could go in the water there, but I would advise against it, it's brackish, and there appears to be metal pilings or something in the area near the shore.

The meeting facility, which is what drew me there for a special event, is lovely with beautiful views of the harbor. The staff is very helpful and provided all the assistance we needed. A perfect place for a meeting, reception or the like.

We stay in Port Charlotte so we really like to use the Port Charlotte Beach Park. We really don't go into the water but if you want someplace close by where you can sit on the beach for a couple of hours and you don't have to travel far, this is it. It's a good location and not crowded. It... More
