Bring cash in single denominations for the parking lot (presently $4/car). When we parked it was on the honor system so you had to have exact amounts or donate to the state park :) The house tour was $4/person and worth the extra payments to see more than through the windows. The tour guide was knowledgeable, provided interesting history and... More

There are beautiful trees surrounding the house. It is very quite and a great break form all the coastal development, strip malls etc. We didn't check the schedule so didn't realize the house is closed, no tours Tuesday and Wednesday. There are some trails all flat. This is a place for a gentle walk not a hike. We saw mushrooms,... More

We enjoyed walking around the grounds, seeing the majestic oaks covered in Spanish moss, and watching the silver mullets leaping out of the water of the bayou. We didn't take the house tour, but the grounds by thenselves are worth the recommended $4 charge per car.

Beautiful gardens, sprawling grounds, magnificent huge ancient oaks, lovely mansion, all on a tranquil bayou. Our family has enjoyed this place for years and are always amazed that so few beach going vacationers ever set foot there. Just 6 miles separate the bayou and the Gulf, but they seem worlds apart. (Only fee is State Park entry - worth every... More

Love Eden Gardens and Big Trees and the bay to enjoy. Have a picnic or stroll the roses and go inside the old house. I loved the trees.

Not far from the bustling Gulf Shore beaches is the secluded Eden Gardens State Park. Having visited a few years back for a peaceful respite, the charm and tranquility remain. A recommended donation of $4 goes to help maintain the mansion and grounds. From the shaded drive, a pathway leads to the Wesley House, which offers guided tours of its... More

On an unusually cold November Florida day, we stopped at Eden gardens state park. We saw the signs from us98 and followed them right to the park. We debated if it was worth the 4 dollars to enter and figured house would be closed. Took the chance and was so glad. House was open for tours and heated. Excellent tour... More

We walked the grounds of this lovely house and admired the view of the lake. Tours weren't available on the day we visited, but we didn't mind. (You can peek in the windows.) There's a long nature trail, and we were delighted to find gorgeous patches of reindeer moss, something I've never seen before. Note: Don't trust your GPS to... More

Eden Gardens and the Wesley House, in its understated beauty and grandeur, are not to be missed! This is “Old Florida” in High Style! This 1895 mansion, renovated in Classic Revival is gorgeous and so well preserved. The moss-draped live oaks and beautiful gardens create an excellent backdrop for perfect photos and weddings. There’s an honor box at $4 per... More

We were at this park Friday for our friends wedding and I have to say, it was absolutely breath-taking! The trees are gorgeous and the area is so peaceful. Perfect location for a garden wedding!
