I don't want word to get out...but this place is awesome! Not crowded, very laid back. My idea of life at the beach!
Nicely maintained. Hikes. You have access to the Gulf and the bay. On the Gulf side it's easy to enjoy with its waves and snow white sand. Then there is the Sound side with shallow inlets and calmer waters when it may be too rough across the sand and street. Great to take young kids. Access to beach is restricted... More
Being a national park and requiring a small fee ($3) to enter, the beach was much less crowded than the public beaches or the area around the condos. Perdido Key has perfect water and beautiful white sand beaches. They'll let you rent out gazebos in advance, and there is camping in the park. If you are active duty military, just... More
It is a National Park and therefore you need to pay for a park pass (daily, weekly, annual or National Park Card) Escambia County does not allow any dogs on any beaches. You can relax on either the gulf side or the intracoastal side. Bring what you want or need, nothing for sale. Enjoy watching the watercraft, the barges and... More
Lovely beach. Unfortunately there is not a single strip or piece where dogs are welcome even if you are a responsible dog owner who cleans up. Not very pet friendly for people who travel with pets and do not want to leave them in a trailer. Yet, as we drove down the road we saw three dog owners with dogs... More
This beach is pristine, quite and not busy. They do have restroom facilities with picnic areas available for a gathering. More locals come here than tourists. Fishing and birdwatching are in abundance. You'll see dolphins, rays and pelicans.
Love visiting this beach when I'm in town. Quiet and a beautiful beach. Not busy and nice to see that it's more of a locals beach. Great place to fish as well. Bring a blanket, chair, and enjoy.
Nice white sand beaches, practically empty in October. Snorkelled and saw rays, dolphins, mullet and overhead there were many shorebirds, including pelicans. Changing facilities, toilets, outdoor shower (cold). Free for seniors over 62 with a lifetime pass
