Restrooms and showers are available. Water and beach are clean and you can park close enough that it does not feel like you have done a major workout by the time you get to the beach. Great walking area too.

I was lucky enough to grow up on this beach...and I have not see one as beautiful anywhere in or out of the US. If you appreciate true undisturbed beauty, white sand, green water, no crowds...this is it! Miles and miles of views.. Access to Gulf and sound side!. There is a pavilion bathrooms and showers at the entry. Mon/Tues... More

I'm only here in winter and have not swum yet. The beach is almost deserted in winter, a few fishers, beachcombers. Good for walking, seeing what's washed up. Very Clean!

Great beach in National Park ( tip...go on Mon or Tues no charge). Beautiful, white sand beach without "towers" in background like Gulf Shores. Go past the pavilion and park along the road and walk in on one of the boardwalks. Can go back to pavilion area if need restrooms Nice shelling and found some starfish. Nice area for surf... More

Get away from the crowds at Pensacola Beach or Gulf Shores beaches. However, be aware that there is only the beach itself, and not the numerous concessions at the more popular beaches. Less people, and walking down the beach you have it all to yourself.

This beach is a state park and is a very pleasant relaxing beach to go to. My wife and I enjoy walking this beach and often we are accompanied by dolphins swimming out in the Gulf. It is beautiful and has nice pavilions that you can set up a meal and invite your friends to join you.

With my house in Pensacola only a short drive to this beach, I would come early in the morning to catch catfish in the surf, or do some running along the waterline. Pretty phenomenal. If you're the type to find solace... More
