I spent a lot of time here during 2 tours of duty at a nearby Naval Technical Training Center. With my house in Pensacola only a short drive to this beach, I would come early in the morning to catch catfish in the surf, or do some running along the waterline. Pretty phenomenal. If you're the type to find solace... More

The pristine white sands and the wildlife are second to none. The fishing and swimming are wonderful and the park rangers are the best.

Johnson Beach is a beautiful, secluded part of the National Seashore. The coolest part about Johnson Beach is that it narrows significantly at the end so that you can clearly see the Intercoastal Waterway (the Bay side) on your left and the Gulf of Mexico (the beach side) on your right. What a view! I've been at least a dozen... More

This beach is beautiful, the picnic and changing facilities are nice. It was too cool to swim, but flying kites was great. Driving on down the road provides opportunities to opportuities to walk over the dunes on boardwalks to the gulf on one side and the calmer intercoastal water on the other.

This beach is very well taken care of. Nice facilities. Had a small picnic at one of the pavilions. Water is beautiful here. Not crowded.

Love this beach for it's beautiful white sand, clear turquois water located on Perdido Key in Pensacola, Florida. It is a very un-crowded beach in the Gulf Islands National Seashore Park with a nature trail, beach walkovers to protect wildlife and miles of sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway. Restrooms with showers, grills and plenty... More

It is a beautiful place. Great beach, clean sand, calm water. Great facilities also. I go there every time I am in the area and will continue to go back.

This is the only beach I go to in Pensacola. It is quiet, peaceful, and very relaxing. If you want to listen to music, it can be your own music. Not some stranger two feet from you. Top notch! Beautiful!

If you're looking for where the locals go, then head to Johnson Beach. It is part of the state park system, which means there is a cost associated to entering the beach, but it includes clean bathrooms, showers, lifeguards (depending on time of year), access to the gulf and the intercoastal, and very clean beaches. The small cost makes it... More
