If you're looking for where the locals go, then head to Johnson Beach. It is part of the state park system, which means there is a cost associated to entering the beach, but it includes clean bathrooms, showers, lifeguards (depending on time of year), access to the gulf and the intercoastal, and very clean beaches. The small cost makes it... More

We love the snow white sand, abundant shells, beautiful water and lack of crowds here make this our favorite beach.

This beach offers all you want. Great water, convenient parking and restroom facilities. Life guard station is there to look out for everyone. The beach is not over crowded so you don't have to fight for a spot.

Very quiet, lots of shells, great fishing, and clean. I can't say there was anything I disliked. There is plenty of nature. You have the best of the Gulf and the Inter Coastal waters

If you want to spend some time on a beach that is one on one with nature, this is a good place to start. It does not have much in the way of facilities but makes up for it in beauty. Make sure you obey all the rules to avoid all the hassels associated with breaking Federal Park rules. Pack... More

The sand is clean and white We were there on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. There are a lot of birds but they stay back and aren't bothersome There is a... More

Living across on the east side of the inlet at Pensacola Pass, I have not ever even been around to the Perdido Key side into the Gulf Island Seashore Johnson Beach! Nearby today, I drove in and explored this jewel. Nice. Highly recommended.

I only live 20 minutes away from this never crowded piece of Paradise. Use a rolling walker and there is a covered pavilion right next to parking lot with wonderful view of water plus shade if I need it. In the off seasons, I am often the only one around enjoying my lunch here! Pensacola Beach is nice, but this... More

You can decided to join the crowd or go further and find a private spot. It makes Miami looks tacky. Just gorgeous waves and beautiful white sand.
