It's a nice, quiet beach with no amenities but I don't need much. The sand is so crystally and white. I picked up random garbage-who leaves garbage at the beach??

Not crowded, at least not this time of year. The sand is really nice, and there are showers, changing rooms and a place for beach-goers or fishermen. Family oriented.

This is a very clean beach no trash that I saw anywhere. We came here to do shore fishing sadly we only caught catfish and we let those loose back to the water. There were covered areas with benches for family picnics right besides the beach. The first day we were there a wedding was taking place. There's a fee... More

Grab the boat, some friends and a frisbee and head over to Johnson Beach. Quiet little slice of heaven where you almost wish there was no cell reception for a while.

Come back to this place every year, actually stayed down the beach close enough to walk in! Great for walking on the beach!

Johnson beach has a great boat launch for kayaking and canoeing. They have a nice picnic area to have lunch and then after you kayak. Then of course the beautiful white beaches are a must to see...

Restrooms and showers are available. Water and beach are clean and you can park close enough that it does not feel like you have done a major workout by the time you get to the beach. Great walking area too.

I was lucky enough to grow up on this beach...and I have not see one as beautiful anywhere in or out of the US. If you appreciate true undisturbed beauty, white sand, green water, no crowds...this is it! Miles and miles of views.. Access to Gulf and sound side!. There is a pavilion bathrooms and showers at the entry. Mon/Tues... More
