beaches are really clean & crowded so come early! chairs & umbrellas are for rent, at a reasonable price, but not close to the water. the water is clean and so refreshing on a hot day restrooms are close by, but no changing rooms

First off, let me say I am from Tampa, FL. We go to Clearwater Beach a lot (it is ranked as one of the best beaches in the country). And while there are a lot of tourist trap stores (SurfStyle), it isn't as bad restaurant / neon ish as Pensacola. The only saving grace is a restaurant called Red Fish... More

12 miles of undistributed beach between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. Several pull offs to get beach access. A lot of times you will have the beach to yourself during the off season and still not that crowded during the season. Bring everything you need because there are no shops out there for drinks or food.

Drove through while going to Fort Pickens. Nice beaches that are not overly crowded like most places in Florida this time of year.

We had just spent a week at the Disney campground and our family decided this campsite was their favorite place of our trip. The proximity to the beach and historic Fort Pickens made this special. The only reason I gave it a rating of 4 in stead of 5 is that the bathrooms weren't completely clean. There are 4 individual... More

Once again Gulf Islands National Seashore Fort Pickens Campground proves to be the best way to enjoy a dynamic barrier island. We stayed 12 nights in loop A and did not want to leave! I was sorely disappointed with the volume of trash washing up on the beach. Hoping that everybody will clean up after themselves leaving environments cleaner than... More

I'm torn between writing an honest review telling you how beautiful this place is and writing a total lie so that the crowds won't invade this place!

I love the Gulf Islands National Seashore. I love the incredible seafood and the smell of the ocean. I love the white, sugar sand and the clean, clear water. The days are hot and the nights are cool. I love walking on the sand at night watching the stars. You will love the Gulf Islands at Pensacola, Florida.

Breathtaking views!!! Beach was gorgeous, clean white sand and not too crowded. We will definitely be back next year. It does cost 8.00 to enter but if you keep your receipt it's good for 7days to re-enter with out paying again but this place is priceless!!!
