I loved the Pensacola area. The people are inviting and have a cajun twist. The beaches are clean and the water is beautiful!

Beautiful sugar sand beaches; few people; great dog park area on the beach; 🌞, and gentle ocean breezes. What else can you ask for in mid-January?

If you like sun, sand and surf this is the place to be. White sandy beach with pristine blue water. The view is just breathtaking.

Gulf Islands National Seashore has the best beaches around. You do need to buy a pass, but these are not that expensive. Love the peace and quiet.

Gorgeous, clear, and warm water. Not many people. Sand was pure white. Lots of small sea shells. Worth the drive from Destin .

2 dog parks have been set up on the beach but there is no enforcement of the rules and some dog owners allow their dogs to run at will and sit on the sand yelling instructions to their unruly dogs. I have seen dogs run into walkers on the beach, attack people,me for one, and there are no repercussions. There is... More

By far one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Beautiful sand and beautiful water in relatively quiet surroundings.

In addition to the title features, I like the miles of natural unspoiled (other than by nature-storms) topography. Florida or not, it is "LA" (Lower Alabama), so one has scrub oaks and pine remnants from storms rather than beautiful scenic palm trees. Thankfully, the Gulf Islands Seashore does not artificially "rebuild" the beach like the commercial-residential sections of Pensacola Beach.... More

The beaches are snow-white and sugar-soft. It's a $1 toll to get on the island, but once you're away from Pensacola Beach, you are in for some amazing solitude. The water is fabulous. Highly recommended.
