Beautiful white beaches!!!!! My husband and I spent a day on the Gulf Island beaches just chillin' for our anniversary. We got there early in the morning and were able to avoid the traffic coming into the islands. The water was also very warm and pleasant :) I enjoyed the herons standing on the beaches waiting to catch fish. Tip:... More

Beautiful white sand beach. Ft. Pickens is worth a visit, with a nice gift shop. Excellent spot for birdwatching. Even has otters in the drain ditches!

White sand, no crowds, great facilities, low price, etc. - I could go on and on! It's a shame more people don't take advantage of The Gulf Islands National Seashore, it's a beautiful place!

Perfect day at the beach. Soft fine sand, warm water, no crowds, shady sitting area/bathroom between car park and beach, absolutely no litter. Bliss.

Sugar white sandy beaches which are clean! Warm, blue water is inviting. I've been all over the nation and I must say, without hesitation, that the beaches here are the BEST in the country! Safe and family oriented. No wild drunken parties or beach punks! Peaceful and relaxing environment! Wonderful Campground and nice restaurants nearby also.

Gulf Island National Seashore is a gem. Great for long beach walks, snorkeling & fishing. Hurricane Ivan hit this area hard and the road & dunes are still recovering.

Our area was just voted #1 by Travel Magazine as the best beach location in the state of Florida. We live where others vacation.

We buy the annual pass....the $25 or so was worth it. Quiet beaches with plenty of room. If you think you will visit the area more than twice a year it is the way to go.

We recently camped in the Gulf Islands National Seashore at Fort Pickens. This was a state park before being taken over by the Federal Government. Thank God it was. The area surrounding the park is so different from what it was. The park is the only area remaining undeveloped on the beach. The beaches inside the park were great however... More
