Nice park facilities on the Sound side with an interesting exhibit on why it's named Naval Oaks. Great boardwalk for handicap access. Nice trail that winds through the woods along the Sound and usually shady in the summer. It's a frequent place for me to go when I want to go somewhere that I feel safe as a solo traveler... More

These live oaks that are part of the Naval Restoration are sprawling out over the roads on your way to Gulf Breeze. It's an amazing drive!

This place is awesome. Learned a great deal about ship building, never realizing how important the shape of the live oak played such important resource in ship production.

I love to bird watch and this is a great place to walk the bay and see a lot of wildlife. Bring your picnic and set under the trees and watch the water! very calming!

I found this destination worthwhile, but I was expecting more. The strength is the educational building with indoor exhibits. The exhibits were self-guided with printed explanations at each individual exhibit. I noticed that there were 2 staff members or volunteers who seemed very bored amd sleepy. The spoke only when spoken to. Outside the education building, there is an .8... More

Historic place to visit, beautiful Oaks from long ago and they stood up to Ivan for the most part. Nice place to enjoy on an afternoon, which we did!!!!

The Naval Live Oaks Reservation was very nice. The visitors center was interesting, and the tour guide was very helpful. He showed us a map of the area and was very knowledgeable. We didn't do any of the trails except for the boardwalk outside the visitor center. We have young children, and the guide said there are a variety of... More

Took a break from the Pensacola Beach to stroll thru this parks service area. Lots of flora, very little fauna (that we saw). A pleasant diversion.

A worthwhile stop. To the left of the visitors center there are lots of picnic tables and a restroom with beach views. No dogs allowed on the beach. To the right of the visitor center there is a little walk with informative placards. There is a very good trail off of this walk that goes on for some time (a... More
