Back in the day (mid 1900's), the Saenger was the major downtown movie theater showing first run movies, and I got to be an usher while in high school. These days, it provides special showings and live performances. You can still get a feel for the old movie theater, and some of the inner railings and such came from the... More

I much appreciate the history, architecture, preservation, special classic movie showings and unbelievably low pricing ($5 Adult ticket for a classic color movie...wow!, Thanks) of the Saenger Theatre. That said and this venue recommended, beware: the seats are not "staggered", at least in the center/center section, and this floor section is level-horizontal. I.E., if you sit behind someone, or they... More

The Saenger Theatre has stunning interior design, cheap prices and great showings! We saw American Graffiti and had a great time.

What a gem! We liked it so much we just bought a Broadway ticket package. You can park your car minutes from the front door, dine at any number of restaurants on Palafox Street, and have a pleasant evening watching a show. The Saenger Theatre is a beautiful building. It's wonderful to have this option so close.

A wonder old facility. I just love going there and sitting in the theater. Good sound system. Easy access and parking. Then walk around downtown and enjoy the atmosphere.

Always something going on here. A great time guaranteed. Somewhat small and they sell out quick being the only place in town so don't wait to get your tickets. The only drawback is the pricey concessions.

This is pretty much the only professional performing arts venue in town but they don't slack off! very friendly and helpful staff and excellent facilities. They always have something going on so I highly suggest checking their event calendar of you're going to be in the area. The venue is somewhat small so don't wait until the last minute on... More

Still in the old theater style this remodeled theater retains its charm while fresh and comfortable (although the seats seem narrow to this 180 lb woman - probably okay for slim people). We have seen many shows and concerts here and enjoyed them the most from the balcony level. Very good acoustics and intimate feel (seats about 2000).

Lovely, historic, Pensacola downtown theater. The Saenger has been around since 1925 and had major renovation a few years ago. It's beautiful inside and whenever I see a play or a movie here, it makes me feel all fancy and brand new like I'm going to the Oscars or something. You can catch anything from Broadway Plays, to stand-up comics,... More

I LOVE the classic movies in the summer and the showing of It's A Wonderful Life at Christmas time. Seats are a tiny bit tight, but worth it!
