You have to go fishing in the water for the shells, but the island itself is quiet and scenic. You have to go through the state park to get there, which is also beatuful and worth the trip just for the views! More

Captain Anderson's three hour cruise is a must. Two hours sailing and one hour on Shell Island. The captain and crew are top shelf and they make sure you know who the customer is. Dolphin sightings included and the boat is very nice with plenty of room to walk around on both decks. More

I love some aspects of shell island. We took the St. Andrews Bay shuttle and it takes you to the bay side. You have a decent walk to get to the gulf side.
