This is a wonderful park to visit. We went through the alligator area first. Didn't see any, but it has a nice path through the area. You have to pay to enter the park area. Even if you just walk or bike in. There are two sides of the beach. One side is perfect for smaller children because the waves... More

I recently moved and now live only about a 2 hour drive from Panama City. If I could I would come down here every weekend and come to St. Andrews. The beach has always been clean and usually not too crowded unless it's the middle of the summer. We went last week and there were maybe 20 or 30 people... More

Andrews state park itself was great, amenities are nice and all. My sister was married on the beach and the problem with that is that it was cloudy and extremely blustery there. She was convinced by the wedding planner to hold the ceremony there instead of our resort at which it was relatively calm so just a note of caution... More

We took our bikes to St. Andrews and just rode around. The sand dunes were beatiful as was the beach. There were lots of places to picnic. Very family friendly.

there were very few people to disturb the pristine beauty of the beach. We did run into two couples we had seen before and had a nice chat with them. We also saw a man catch a shark from the pier.

St. Andrews State Park has campsites on St. Andrews Bay, wooded sites, neat and clean sites with all the amenities, clean bath houses, lots of trails, deer, fishing, hiking, sunbathing. Everything within 5 minutes of shopping and dining out if you prefer. The best of both worlds.

My family has camped in St Andrews State Park campground for 5 consecutive years. Once considered a "jewel" of the Florida park system, the campground has gradually deteriorated until it is now one of the worst I have ever visited. The campsites are totally not maintained: they are un-level and trashy from fallen vegetation - if this is attempt to... More

This is a great place to take kids. You do have to pay $8 to get in because it is a state park, but the beach was amazing for little guys. We took in our 8 month old and he loved it - and didn't have to worry about strong waves or huge dropoffs while we walked out.

There's an entrance fee of $8 per car, but well worth it. The hiking trails around Gator Lake are very pretty, and the eco system is amazing. The wooden boardwalks and the pier are very nice. The beaches are beautiful. Nice camp grounds too.

We planned to take a trip to Shell Island via St Andrews state park, but we never made it. The beach at the park was delightful. $8 per car to enter the park, $9 for a good snorkel set at the Dollar General store and $10 for a boogie board from one of the "nothing over $9.99" stores and we... More
