Well worth the $5. We walked the Alligator Lake Trail which was not well signed but a really enjoyable walk. Saw lots of wildlife --- birds, squirrels and a big black snake sunning himself on a rock but no alligators. Walked around the marina and the Turpentine Distillery. we have been coming to panama for over ten years, and have always stayed in condos with the beach right there, but this is such a quite and gorgeous place to swim, snorkle or just sit and relax, now that the kids are all grown me and my husband call it our private getaway, it's well worth the visit more

St Andrews is a two-part state park. Part of it is accessible by car, has a couple of nature walks and some very nice beaches. The entrance fee is $5.
