The Ravine Gardens State Park is our hidden jewel of Florida. . It is a rare sinkhole that has a 1.8 mile paved driving and walking path around it. It also has many walking paths off the roads and a hanging suspension bridge. Many joggers, walkers, bicyclists, and carloads of people enjoy the beautiful trees, flowers. and wildlife, and there... My husband and I visited this Garden and state park area on a Sunday afternoon, in September. While the azaleas were past blooming, there were lovely, maintained gardens, and lots of trails, and paths to hike, or just spend time enjoying. The various trails have benches and picnic table along the way, making a rest, or lunch ( or water... More

Good trails and ample parking. This is larger then it looks from the entrance. Be prepared to do a little hiking but it is well worth it.

Plenty of parking, long shady trails to walk around, dogs allowed. Only $ 5.00 entry fee per car last time we went

Although I live here, I never tire of the Ravine Gardens. This is the first place I want visitors to see. It's especially beautiful in late Feb & early March. With a play ground for kids, BBQ & Picnic areas even one designed for the handicapped, suspension bridges, multiple hiking trails, it has something for everyone. If you don't have... More

I have been there on 2 occasions early spring and late spring. The first time the azaleas were in full bloom and the place was gorgeous the second time much later spring-very few flowers blooming. I am handicapped so unable to walk the trails and rode around the park-There is a large sinkhole which because of overgrowth was hard to... More

We drove from St. Augustine to Palatka to check out Florida's oldest diner, "Angels Diner." We felt like exploring and there isn't a lot to do in Palatka, unless you have a boat or a special event is taking place, so we drove to Ravines State Park, which is located next to The Ravines golf course. I'd recommend stopping in... More

Like other state parks where you can run around and have family time. There is nothing bad about the place. Basically you are walking in a park that has a hole in the ground.

there are a few parks sprinkled on this path so you can stop and let your kids play, there's even enough room to park and play if you're driving.

I have been taking my children and grandchildren to the ravines for 40 plus years. none of us have ever gotten bored with our walks through the winding trails. in the spring the flowering trees and bushes are spectacular. it is part of the old Florida. take your time wondering over the swinging bridges. do not just drive on the...
