Wonderful shaded two lane highway running through park, plenty of old Florida, hanging mosses, towering palms, salt marshes, and jungle undergrowth. Stop at the park and see the historic oak tree that is a rambling of oak branches and is hundreds of years old. Better yet, do the drive in a convertible.

You're able to drive close to the beach heading north up A1A which was nice. Found a very quaint local bar/restaurant called the Lagerheads about 1/2 way between Ormond Beach and Flagler Beach.

This is an old tour of old Florida that is undeveloped. It is a secret from the local people that has been kept as a locals tour of beautiful old Florida.

Driving in the area called the "Loop" is a wonderful experience. It's like driving through tunnels of natural vegetation. It's very different from the Florida we know. In some places, the sun never shines, and you never see the sky.

The first 5 miles or so on John Anderson were in terrible shape, utilities construction? But the absolute natural habitat and the oak canopies was just breathtaking (except for the speeding locals on our bumper ;)
