We visited all the museums grouped together in this arts district, and this was by far our favorite. It is small, and you may only spend a half an hour here, but the art is fantastic. It is art for the masses. One side with the Cunningham works is permanent, and the other half changes. When we visited, both sides... More

This was once a large private home on a lake. It makes a wonderful intimate museum with beautiful carpets and furniture where you are allowed to sit and contemplate the luminescent paintings of Earl Cunningham. This self-taught painter captured the natural magic of Florida, that exists away from the theme parks. It is the largest Cunningham collection in the world,... More

This museum exhibits two painters - Earl Cunningham who lived and worked in St Augustine. His style is naïve, peaceful, refreshing. - Dale Kennington, a painter born in Savannah GA, who in her figurative approach depicts some scenes of current life. It takes about 30 to 45 min to see everything. This museum is located near the Orlando Museum of... More

Great little spot with concentration on little known but very important self taught American artist. Who primarily resided in st Augustine Florida named Cunningham. I spent several hours studying his works That captivated me. His style is unique ,refreshing and true. His life is spelled out in the video there and it is a Shame that most people do not... More

The Menello is a small museum just north of downtown Orlando that is a pleasant break from the usual hot, noisy Central Florida attractions. In addition to its "colorful" folk art paintings by Earl Cunningham on permanent display, the museum features annual exhibits based on themes. 2015 is for women artists and the first go-round of paintings by Dale Kennington... Took a couple of hours to visit the gardens and the museum. The Earl Cunningham exhibition is interesting and reveling. I didn't knew much of the artist but had seen photos of his fork art. It was wonderful to see so many of his pieces. As it always is, the effect is better in person. The colors and scenes are... More

I am a student at Florida State College of Jacksonville and recently took a course in Humanities: American Art which I enjoyed immensely. It was a requirement, not part of my major. Short story long... We were assigned a museum project so I chose to find an American Indian Museum in central Florida and in my research I found Mennello... More

The Mennello Museum of American Art is a little gem of a museum in a beautiful setting on Lake Formosa in Loch Haven Park. The permanent exhibit is a display of vibrant folk art paintings by Earl Cunningham. I enjoyed learning about the artist and also about how Marilyn Mennello acquired almost all of his works which inspired the establishment... More

The Mennello is a small museum in downtown Orlando, a part of Orlando that few visitors ever see. This is a young museum that is celebrating its 15th anniversary. During my visit, it had an extensive exhibition of "Art of the American West" and the paintings of Earl Cunningham. It was a wonderful experience. It is located in a beautiful... More
