This is a great park with so many rides, even compared to Disney's Magic Kingdom. We had a great time, and beware, you will get wet on the water rides! We had a much better time at Islands of Adventure than at Universal Studios. Probably because our kids do not like big roller coasters. Besides the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which was the highlight of our entire trip, our kids really enjoyed the Jurassic Park area. Been to Orlando many times and this is our favorite park overall. It was great before Potter and now it's even better. Even the water rides are great. Plus you can walk to the studios right next door.

We loved the Harry Potter portion of the theme park. The rides are great but the area gets congested quite early in the day and stays congested. Do this first thing or you will regret it. It is about the only opportunity to take pictures without a crowd in the background.
The rest of the park was not too busy...

Travelled with nieces who are 14 and 11. We stayed at the Hard Rock which was a great choice as its family oriented, room key allows early access to park and express pass privileges to most rides, and when u buy items at the park they can be delivered to ur room next day. It doesn't get much better than...

I love Universal, but being a complete wimp, this park has too many fast and furious upside-downy vomit inducing rides for me!
WWHP is fab, and I can just about manage the brilliant Forbidden Journey. Jurassic Park River Ride was a once only affair for me, as 80ft in the dark just doesn't float my boat - pun intended!

LOVE the big roller costers but beware - you will get SOAKED on the water coasters! We went twice over 2 weeks and had so much more fun the begining of March than the middle. Less crowds and shorter lines. If you are willing to maybe get split up, the lines can be SO much quicker if you go in...
