Despite visiting universal several times we have only been to this side twice so far. Islands of adventure is where the bigger, scarier rollercoaster rides are. There is still lots to do though including the Dr Seuss section with carousel, shops and monorail. Our favourite ride is Popeyes bilge barge rafts- a large round boat which whirls you down water... For the amount of people that had it running like clockwork. The lines are long in mid afternoon. We were able to work around the crowds by staying at one of the onsite hotels. We would go in the morning, Go back to the hotel in the afternoon to beat the crowd and the heat and return in the evening,

The rides and exhibits here are perfect, and it should be a great place to visit for a few days (you can't see it all in one day). However, there is no shade, cooling areas, or rest spots to escape the heat. Just walking in from the parking areas is a long, long walk, and that gets you nowhere close... More

A great day out on your holidays well worth the money, It can be overly busy at mid day and trying to have lunch gets cramped and hot but aside from that visiting Islands of Adventure was great. Don't miss it

Having last visited IOA 10 years ago we were expecting a few changes especially with the addition of the Harry Potter attraction. We were not disappointed. With unpredictable weather you should really allow 2 days to see each of the Universal parks if you want to take in all of the rides and shows. As we were there in mid... More

I went to Universal Studios and Islands of adventure with my husband as part of our Honeymoon. We purchased the park-hopper ticket so we could go to both parks, and also because we wanted to be able to do the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express train ride that goes between the parks (you must have a park-hopper ticket to go on... My teen loved Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios a little more than Disney World. They have more thrill rides! She loved the Hulk ride and the rest of the coasters there. We loved the Simpson's ride and the Harry Potter stuff, even the older Harry Potter part of the park.

Awesome experience, I have been going since I was 11 years old and I have loved it ever since. I always saved up money to get a frequent fear pass but if you go for just the night I HIGHLY suggest you getting a fast pass. Otherwise your night will consist of waiting in line the whole night.

Brillant day for both kids and adults, I would recommend express pass to beat the crazy queues though!
